About

· Our mission is to ensure that local people affected by social isolation or mental distress have the support they need to manage their lives successfully. We provide activities and events where vulnerable people can make friends and feel part of a wider community. We currently run: a free weekly Friday evening event at Jean Stokes Community Centre (from 7th October 2022), Coatbridge House, Carnoustie Drive, N10DX, offering a talk or activity each week, a light nutritious buffet and the opportunity to socialise

· Weekly Saturday wellbeing workshops (Chi Kung, sitting yoga, mindfulness, dance, singing, Meditation)

· A Sunday philosophy discussion forum

· Monthly Arts and Nature outings to places of interest across London (for which we were awarded the 2010 London Health Commisson award for Mental well-being)

· Fortnightly art workshops at the Estorick Gallery

· Fortnightly nature visits to London Wildlife Trusts’ Camley Street

· A weekly community choir

· Fortnightly Music Appreciation classes

· Weekly Men’s Club - keep fit and social club for over 50’s

· Weekly Gentle Exercise classes in partnership with Heathy Generations

Booking is required, but all our events are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Contact us at info@slt.org.uk or call 020 7713 9304.
