Description of service
Promoting wellbeing and recovery from addiction when you feel ready to take those steps. The services operate from two main hubs – Wakefield city centre, and Castleford, as well as having satellite sites across the district. Works with over 4000 service users including brief interventions and structured treatment. Offers access to substitute prescribing, detoxification as well as other related health advice for drug and alcohol users. With individually tailored support packages, we meet the needs of service users and include 1-2-1 work, MOPSI group work (Models of Psychosocial Interventions), Mindfulness interventions and help with physical and mental health needs. A Needle Exchange Service is available at our Wakefield Hub.
