About
Up on Downs is a charity founded by parents to support families of children who have Down’s Syndrome. We give parent to parent support and information through a range of events designed to improve family networks, promote learning and develop skills for families and those supporting them. Throughout the year we arrange meetings, therapies and activities for the children, their siblings and carers. These include regular drop-in sessions, speech therapy, visits from specialists, and outings. We also provide personalised signposting and advice on services, education and development.

We use a range of venues with appropriate access for disabled children.
Catchment area
Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Further information
Most activities are free to all members of the charity and their families. Our Symbol-based Speech communication groups and other therapies will usually require a contribution to costs. Up on Downs has been connecting families and creating better conditions for children and young people with Down’s Syndrome since 2005 and is affiliated with the Down’s Syndrome Association.
