Smashed avocado and banana

This quick and easy no-cook recipe has a surprisingly tasty combination of avocado and banana, mashed to make a creamy delicious mix.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe banana, chopped
  • 1 ripe avocado

Method

  1. Place the chopped banana and avocado in a mixing bowl.

  2. Blend or mash together with a fork until smooth.

  3. Cover any leftovers and store in the fridge. Banana and avocado brown quickly so try to eat it within the same day.

  4. Information:

    Try adding full-fat yoghurt to the mixture for a creamier option.

Weaning tip

Try mashed and finger foods as soon as your baby is ready, to help them learn to chew and swallow solid foods.
