The neurology wards of this hospital that I experienced today are disgusting - very dirty and the air filter vents full of dirt. Doctors are too busy to speak to patients and a variety of healthcare assistants wander round with no clear purpose. I tried several times to talk to the doctors on call but they kept saying they would come but didn't. The patient in the bed next to mine was served mouldy toast for breakfast. Absolute disgrace.

I visited the urgent care department after contact with the 111 service the day before. My daughter had been suffering with earache for a few days. The 111 service was brilliant and after assessing her we decided I could access the urgent care centre if she was still in pain the next day. The triage nurse at Preston was questioning me about why I hadn't taken her straight to the GP on the first day of symptoms. Then I wouldn't be accessing their service at the weekend. I was quite upset with this attitude. The doctor was brilliant however.

I had reason to visit a&e recently with a cardiac issue. The consultants, Doctors and nursing staff provided excellent care. (Both Medical & Cardio) After tests,scans etc I was transferred to the aau, where, that same level of care & consideration from all staff continued till my Discharge. Thank you all again for your care and consideration.

Staff were brilliant. Efficient and very informative and caring. You can tell the staff truly love what they do and it shows. Thank you all for your help! A&E doctor. Urologist and Ward 10 staff all fantastic.

AAU team were simply amazing went above and beyond while I was with them. I can't thank them all enough for looking after me. The care they gave was just great from observations to tests they were so caring even though so busy always had time just for a chat and bringing me another brew..They work so hard and deserve recognition for it..once again AAU team thank you.. you made what was a very frightening experience bareable x

Overall a brilliant experience at Preston a&e. I was admitted into majors whilst waiting for a bed on neurology and unfortunately at all hours of the night staff members were shouting inappropriate things across the whole ward without any consideration for the amount of incredibly ill people in bays at 3am following long weight. Honestly, it was such a shame as other than this it would have been a very positive review. The conversations with very inappropriate and some staff (dressed in dark navy scrubs) were too busy talking about their personal lives and going out at the weekend to help patients go to the bathroom.

I've just completed four weeks Radiotheraphy at the Rosemere Cancer Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital. I'm 78 and during my daily visit's I was treated with dignity and respect by those professionals involved whilst undergoing my treatment. When I had concerns they were professional in providing me with answers that I could understand so helping me feel a lot easier. From the cheerful receptionists to the radiotheraphy teams I'd like to thank you all and perhaps in six weeks I may see you again.

The process from arriving, to going home, was caring and professional . Every staff member we met throughout the visit, was kind and understanding. The reception, the nurses, and the doctors. What is a worrying time was greatly helped by all the help we received. Thank you

Obviously there is always a wait in A & E and Urgent Care but all staff are patient and helpful. Once seeing the doctor, I was dealt with really quickly and sent to the Surgical Assessment Unit, where the nurses were so welcoming and made me feel at ease at a difficult time. I saw the surgeon in no time at all and he had the best bedside manner I've ever come across. The day after I was moved to ward 12 where again staff were welcoming and all introduced themselves and told me what was where and what was going on. Thankfully my stay was short but I can honestly say Royal Preston Hospital has definitely upped it's game and are getting it right. Thank you

Everyone from the HCA's, nurses, reception staff and consultant were brilliant. I have been left feeling frustrated by a lack of support from my gp but everyone put me at ease and made this difficult time much easier. The staff are all kind, polite and easy to talk to.
