Review titled Fabulous Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Janet Hulme - Posted on 25 December 2024
Supported my mum yesterday Christmas Eve to Gynaecology department out patients. After ringing first over some concerns they said to pop along for reassurance. The staff from the phone call to the department were friendly, professional and courteous. They made my mum feel at ease and offered comfort and reassurance. I feel all the staff nurses, doctors, security and domestics on the ward deserve a high five and a well done. Thank you to all

Review titled Great Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A&E on Saturday afternoon and the department was busy. I was told that triage would be about an hour which proved to be correct. After that I was moved to urgent care where I had a similar wait. The waiting area there was clean and spacious but the area in A&E is very small. The triage nurse was kind and efficient . The doctor I saw was decisive and knowledgeable and I felt reassured that I could trust his judgement. I left the department satisfied with my care and experience.

Review titled Excellent

I would just like to start by saying thank you so much for saving our sons life. All staff have been amazing with him and us as parents, he came in a&e with meningitis, an abcess and blood clot on his brain, A&e was brilliant and very fast acting ( although the day b4 when I brought him in they sent him home with a sinus infection) but they definitely made up for that error. Fast with medication and surgery even let us stay day and night. Thank you so much to all the staff at a&e neurology and ent

Review titled In general had a good experience here in ward 35
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Andrew Morton - Posted on 06 December 2024
I was rushed in with severe copd and i was moved to ward 35 the nurses were all very lovely and took care of us all it was noisy during the day but the nights were the best the night staff were very helpful and understanding I was there 11 days which were in general a good experience only had a tough time with physio wanting me to walk up stairs the day after admitted which I knew I wouldn't be able to do so had a battle with the lady unnamed to understand but I apologised to her on day of leaving I hope she took on board what I said as I knew my limits and I wouldn't be pushed to have my breathing made worse just to prove my point but in general the nurses were great some talked private lives too much and weren't concentrating on the patients in my view but the rest were brilliant and had a good rest and recoup here in preston

Thank you to everyone in this department for the excellent care you gave when I attended recently for an angioplasty performed on my leg. The whole team deserve a mention for their kindness and efficiency on the day, and you are a credit to the National Health Service.

Review titled Vascular Hot Clinic
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just had to mention the fantastic treatment I received at this clinic. The whole team were absolutely wonderful, showing great respect and kindness to myself and my wife. It was certainly a 5* experience, and the whole team were a credit to the National Health Service. I had a full assessment, including scans etc, then saw the consultant all in the same day. He then referred me for an angioplasty which took place only a few days later. We were absolutely amazed, and cannot speak more highly of this first class service. 10/10 to all the staff involved.

Had to attend the ER with my husband who was experiencing chest pains. Despite the long wait I could not fault the lovely and caring staff, especially a lady dr. She was so lovely and reassuring. Well done to you all in difficult circumstances and thank you

Review titled Disgraceful delays
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 October 2024
After being attended to by excellent paramedics, I was left in the incapable hands of A & E team. As triage n bloods at approx 12:30 am I was still waiting to be seen by editing of this email, at 07:00 hrs. During this time I had to listen to drunks, druggies and those that suffered mental health issues, along with the pain I was in and the sleep deprivation I suffered, I've decided to recommend the A&E at Preston to the security service's for the the torture of enemy combatonts, no one can survive this without breaking.
