  1. Review titled Superb care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2023

I was booked into the Day Surgery Unit at Heatherwood Hospital to have a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. From the moment I arrived, all the staff I met introduced themselves by name and kept me fully informed, especially when there was a delay in me going down to theatre. The staff, from the surgeon and his team, to the nursing and auxiliary staff, were so kind and their care was exemplary. Unfortunately , I had to stay in overnight but the care continued and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness. I truly believe that the positive experience I received at Heatherwood Hospital has made a huge impact on my recovery. I want to thank you all. I am in awe of you! Best wishes.

  2. Review titled Excellent Service !

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A & E with a broken wrist. I had excellent attention throughout, from the time arrived to the time I left. I was there less than 2 hours, which was fantastic ! We all need to be very appreciative of our staff in Frimley Park Hospital and the superb job they do inspite of all the difficulties they face ! A big thank you, to all those who cared for me.

  3. Review titled Such great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I spent two weeks in Frimley Park Hospital before Christmas because of pancreatitis. I have never spent any long period of time in hospital, and all the staff, from the consultants, the nurses, right to the cleaning staff were all pleasant and friendly. Definitely put me at ease and I would have no fear of being admitted there again.

  4. Review titled Amazing offsite care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kay Mansfield - Posted on 06 January 2023

I would say that my experiences with Frimley Park Hospital (sadly becoming more frequent as I get older!) have always been positive and I have admiration and gratitude towards all those who have cared for me when it was needed. I recently needed help to manage a severe IBD flare. Phone call to consultant's secretary and message left on IBD team answerphone resulted in prompt action - telephone call to me to ascertain details of the flare, advice sought from consultant, advice and reassurance 'phoned through to me by IBD team member, prescription raised and forwarded to me and all this on Christmas eve! Thank you all for contributing towards making me feel a little better by New Year's eve! I wish you all the best for 2023.

  5. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Timothy Southall - Posted on 04 November 2022

I was taken to Frimley Park by ambulance after suffering chest pains and was dealt with quickly in Accident & Emergency. I was transferred to the Emergency department to wait to see a doctor. The department was extremely busy and became busier with notification of a 7-8 hour wait. Despite this the staff at all times were wonderful ,caring and attentive. The doctor who treated me was very apologetic of the wait but treated my problem with the upmost care and although I needed further questions answered ,she regularly came back to keep me updated until I was finally discharged awaiting further investigations. My experience may have only been a snapshot of the NHS but I can only thank you for your wonderful service. I am sure there are times when you may question how you can supply such a service when situations seem so stretched , as I experienced last night, but thankfully for all of us you continue to do so and would be a poorer society without you. Thank you once again.

Dear Timothy, Thank you very much for writing to let us know about your recent experience at Frimley Health. Your understanding of the pressures under which our staff operate is appreciated and I am delighted that even though waiting times were long – and growing – this did not detract from the care you received or your overall reflection of the experience. I will share your feedback with the teams involved in your care who will appreciate it. With many thanks again and kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  6. Review titled Commited

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gaynor McAlister - Posted on 10 November 2022

I was brought by ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital with chest pains and in a sorry state. The care I received as exemplary, I was made to feel “safe” and cared for. It was explained on arrival I was having a “heart attack.” Great care was taken to explain the procedure which would be taking place and what effect this would have on my body. I was reassured at each stage verbally and there was often a hand just tapping my shoulder just as a little extra support. The high level of care continued in the ward from the nursing staff to the cleaners and the friendly and jovial staff delivering food. No stay in hospital is pleasant and more often then not it is scary and uncertain All the staff I encountered at Frimley Park Hospital went the extra mile to ensure my stay with them was the best experience possible with the highest level of care.

  7. Review titled Kind and caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ewa Thomson - Posted on 21 November 2022

A few days ago my husband brought me in to A&E after a bad fall at home. I was in intense pain in my leg which made worse by any movement. I was checked in quickly and soon afterwards a nurse took my details and I was sent for an x ray. I was then put into a side room where a nursing assistant made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I had to wait for a while for the doctor to see me but in that time members of staff checked on me and we were offered hot drinks. The doctor said I had not broken any bones and could go home with some painkillers. The nursing assistant insisted that I try to walk a few steps before leaving, she did this firmly and kindly. Despite the department being very busy, everyone was kind and caring, introducing themselves by name.
