  1. Review titled Vaping in A&E-ban is not signposted or reinforced

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 November 2023

I have chemical sensitivity and was taken to the emergency with fainting. I got slightly better, when noticed that another patient was using e-cigarette in the waiting room, which made me sick again. I had to tell the the patient, because it was not signposted and the staff did not tell either. It is frustrating that I had to fight for my right for fresh air in an NHS establishment, where the ban should be clearly signposted and the staff should support the sick. I had to go outside, whilst I hardly even could stand upright. Shame on the vaper and the NHS

  2. Review titled Awful experience in A&E

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Elaine Wilde - Posted on 28 November 2023

After very good initial care in cubicle & given morphine for blocked small bowel was moved to corridor with saline drip. One toilet & no wash facilities for 3 corridors of patients. Bright lights above bed all night, constant noise & banging doors. Traffic constantly passing. It was He'll! Medical staff amazingly kind working in terrible conditions. I've been in hospital very many times. This was worst I've known in A&E and dread the thought I'll probably have to go there again because of my chronic condition.

  4. Review titled Poor follow up appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Paula - Posted on 04 December 2023

First went to Ormskirk Hospital in Feb 2020 and have experienced extremely long delays in follow up appointments. Have had to continuously get in touch with the urology department to ask about follow ups. It’s coming up to 4 years and I still haven’t had my problem resolved. I have actually given up now.

I had an appointment with the gynaecology department and I just want to say how lovely the nurses were. They were so friendly and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout

  7. Review titled Poor Duty of Care

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 July 2023

The Ward was unable to accommodate my husband. He was left in severe pain. Communication was a concern. His catheter exploded. His Nurse call was trapped behind his bed. During handover no Nurses available. Pain relief was slow to administer. Theatre was delayed as the Ward had not completed the paperwork.
