  1. Review titled ENT Appoitment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 March 2025

I was waiting for my ENT appoitment for a year. Durimg this time i found oit they took my name for que for check after CT was done last year. Now. I got appoitment very soon and i was adviced book an hospotal bus going to another hospital for my appoitment. Week ago i rank the number and women did not tell me too much. Their srvice is 24/7 so i did not get a time for asking. Only what she told me was call 2 days priore to appoitment. And yes you will be fine it will be ok with school run. Nothing else. Now i rang them because it is 2 days before my appoitment to book hospital bus for me. She told me be there (at the hospital) 9:10am .... so i would have to book taxi very early which is not going well with school run. My special need son's taxi coming around 9am and i dont have a car. So because that lady did not want to talk to me a week ago i am loosing this very important appoitment. Great service really. So back to square 1 amd wait for another appoitment!

  2. Review titled phone hospital to find loved one

by mark - Posted on 08 July 2024

07/07/2024 15:41 Tried to locate mother after ambulance took her into hospital, phoned royal stoke several times 01782 715444 then told eventually to phone 674455 still no joy (ring ring, ring ring) and put on hold (ring ring ,ring ring) then call was terminated at the hospital end. trying to find where a loved one,my mother with terminal cancer was located,no joy noone available to tell me.the nhs is broke. Those responsible at the top should hang their heads in shame. P.S. this is just a sample of the disgrace that is the nhs that we are now experiencing..... As simple a thing as just phoning to find a loved one, turned into a farce.....

  3. Review titled Wonderful team in AEC

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christopher Chadwick - Posted on 10 May 2024

Wanted to say huge thanks to the team in Ambulatory emergency care. The nurses, doctors, porters and reception staff were all amazing and I'm very thankful to them for their care. They were very welcoming, understanding and swift in their work to carry out the necessary tests and cover all they could as regards my health. It was quite an anxious time for me as I'm not used to being in hospitals especially under serious concerns. However there was never a time that I had doubts that the team weren't doing their absolute best for me and my health. All staff in AEC were friendly, caring, positive and even used light humor to help ease anxiety at times. For all their work I'm very very thankful and appreciative.

The commitment and professionalism of the team helped greatly in overcoming the fear and trepidation of my 1st experience of being a patient in hospital on ward 220. Thank you to you all for a positive outcome.

  8. Review titled Exceptional service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Malam - Posted on 08 November 2023

I received a review request for my recent visit to AEC at Royal Stoke. Unfortunately it said it was for an inpatient visit so I couldn't complete the survey as it was outpatient. The service I received, from reception to medical care was exceptional. My visit was on the morning of 07/11/2023.

  9. Review titled Felt pushed aside

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 July 2023

When I arrived, wait times weren't communicated. I felt like everyone was shouting at me and mad at me due to my communication issues. I often felt like I was in the wrong for seeking support even though 111 told me to go to Accident and emergency. I felt I couldn't ask for adjustments as the staff seemed hard to approach so didn't want to even ask for painkillers when I needed them.
