From the time i entered endoscopy unit ,staff were courteous ,friendly, knowledable. A littke delay because of unforseen problem with another patient ,was kept informed of what was happening ,resulting in another doctor doing my procedure to save waiting any longer than neccerssary, was done with no problems staff again were very freindly and was put at ease very quickly. Cannot praise all of them to highly .

Never have I experienced anything like the walk in centre Walsall NHS I had triage then waited 5 hrs just to be seen disgusting. the staff you cannot hear names being called patients were left unattended which were mainly old people I never thought our great NHS would be so poor as this walk in centre. Staff were not helpful at all was just fobbed off like the rest of the patients all I can say is the organisation skills at this walk in centre is absolute zero no care for patients at all filthy place with all sick bowls srewn all over the waiting area absolutely sickening I can't say anything positive about this place not a happy patient at all will be contacting ombudsman to take this further wouldn't treat a pig there

  3. Review titled No duty of care

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024

I was left for 10hrs with no water, 20hrs no food. Not a single member checked if I was ok while lying down crying my eyes out, no information, no duty of care. Left dehydrated, nauseous, fainted on the way home. I do understand the reason behind delays but very disappointed with no duty of care.

  4. Review titled Caring and understanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jennie Bainbridge - Posted on 14 February 2024

My daughter saw ENT in clinic due to getting an earring back embedded in her ear. She was extremely nervous about having this taken out. The doctor and the nurse that dealt with her were both lovely. Calmed her down, talked to her ( she’s 10) and got the earring out with minimal fuss. I felt she was really well cared for and the after care advice was excellent.

  6. Review titled Very bad experience.

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 May 2024

I was taken to the Rhesus department by ambulance as an emergency, due to a 30 minute seizure (I have a rare brain tumour). I was given Midazolam which knocked me unconscious. I was left on the rhesus department, and due to the medicine I was trying to climb over the bed bars, which I would have hurt myself if my mother hadnt been with me, as I had no clue what I was doing. My bladder flooded me on the bed, and my mother was mopping it up with a medical pad underneath me, that she grabbed from the cupboard. No medical staff was watching over me. I was taken there because the ambulance had to take me to the nearest hospital, as its in our town, but I've told my daughter, to never ever let me go there again.

  7. Review titled Superb professional staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chris Eddins - Posted on 01 March 2024

My brother who is 78 was taken into route 142 after a fall banging his head. The doctors, nursing and ward staff were brilliant. They took Obs and reviewed all my brothers meds, went through every aspect of his daily living, gave him drinks and lunch. Organised a 3 day Care package. Words are never enough, they're wonderful

  8. Review titled Another cancellation!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2024

Surgery was scheduled for 9th January and was cancelled because of the strikes. Booked again for surgery on 18th January but cancelled again, no explanation given. Rescheduled for 26th January so I arrived as planned at 7am. Went through all the usual assessments and then the consultant decides to cancel, again no explanation given. I’ve been waiting for this surgery since 2021 and you have completely failed me. Disgusting behaviour from the consultant today.

i would like to say a huge thank you to the nurses and a&e doctors who came to my assistance on Friday 05/01/24 when i fainted whilst waiting for a perscription in the outpatients department following discharge from a procedure in endoscopy that morning. the doctors and nurses, reassured me, took my pulse, blood pressure and sugar levels whilst still in outpatients, and stayed with me until I was OK. I was then able to go home as planned without being admitted to a&e.

  10. Review titled poor communication from some nurses

Rated 2 stars out of 5

We felt anxious and left uncertain at what was happening through my husbands treatment . The communication between patients and some treatment nurses needs to be kinder , more informative and explanatory.

Thank you and I am sorry this was your experience. As a Trust we promote the principles of 'Its OK to Ask' which encourages patients and carers to get involved in their care based on what is wrong with me, what do I need to do and how important is this. Staff are appraised on these expectations and the wider principles of patients being active partners in care. We are striving to improve the communication channels and more so ensuring staff are delivering compassionate and kind care. I am sorry this was not your experience and not to the standard we want for those who use our services. Thank you for taking the time to feedback and I hope your husband is feeling better.
