Review titled A&E - Fast Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sandra Hayward - Posted on 27 June 2023
What a fast, friendly and safe experience I had yesterday. I was covid surveyed at the entrance, checked in at reception and got my wrist band, didn't wait long to be triaged, and then went straight to xray where I was seen within minutes. I didn't wait long to be assessed and to have the xrays reviewed and then I was treated (put in a half cast). The whole end to end experience was all under 2 hours with my follow up booked too. Everyone I came into contact with a super professional and friendly and made me feel really at ease. All this happened in what seemed to be an almost full waiting room (with most seats taken). Thank goodness for the NHS.

Review titled Complete shambles

Worst A&E experience I have ever known. Went in with suspected Ohss following IVF treatment. Waited for 10 hours for the doctor to eventually read my own notes back to me. Clueless on IVF and clueless on Ohss despite how serious it could be. Knowledge of staff was nowhere near good enough for an emergency unit. Should have been referred to the unit after 2 hours not 10 as the unit was empty. Lost my urine sample, and nobody reviewed my chest x-ray they did. Appalling service

Thanks to the gynaecologist and his team for a thorough examination and clear explanation of my mother’s problems. Felt reassured that her symptoms had been sympathetically reviewed and options discussed.

Review titled Wonderful care and attention

I was there for a number of hours on Sunday - having been referred there by a Minor Injuries Unit, as I had a ‘chronic infection’ of my right index finger- sounds insignificant but the pain! The service I received, when the A&E unit wax very busy, was excellent. I am not allowed to name the Dr but she was kind, caring, and very helpful. I do hope she gets to see this - thank you.

My relation is waiting for a 7 day heart monitor results this is now the 5th week. She was given the secretary’s number and it just keeps ringing out. So worried she is finding it difficult to function. How can this be right waiting this long ?

Review titled Tour de force in medical expertise and patient care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Patrick O'Brien - Posted on 15 May 2023
After my initial call for an ambulance it arrived at my house after 10 minutes, excellent, and promptly transferred me to the Alexandra Hospital Redditch. The ambulance crew where expert and caring which made me feel confident in them, right from the start. The A& E department was efficent and well organised, even though extremely busy. When transferred to the Cardiac ward for treatment I experienced excellent medical treatment and nursing care by all hospital staff. . A tour de force in Hospital practice by Ambulance staff, the A& E department and the Cardiology Department. Many thanks to the Alexandra Hospital, and I am eternally gratefull to a Hospital, whose expert and hardworking staff, saved my life Patrick O'Brien

Review titled Car park barriers not working
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 May 2023
Came to Worcester Royal hospital for outpatient appointment this morning. The machines at the barriers to enter and exit the car park at the front of the hospital were not working, the screens were blank so you could not obtain a ticket. Resulted in cars reversing, horns tooting, people having to get out of their cars etc etc Same experience when I left, car in front of me could not exit and driver had to reverse away from the machine. Please sort this out.

I am surprised patients are able to smoke in the entrance to hospital. I suffer with asthma and had to walk through the cigarette smoke which made me cough. I have noticed on other occasions smoking by entrance Patients mainly. Under the notice saying do not smoke. Why isn’t this stopped?
