  1. Review titled Excellent maternity services

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Kelly M - Posted on 30 May 2023

I wanted to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who has supported me through my pregnancy. I found the staff at Kidderminster maternity to be nothing less than excellent, showing empathy and kindness along with knowledge and professionalism. I had a C-Section on 17th May. I was nervous but was very happy with the care I received, from the midwife who supported us through the morning, to those in the theatre who delivered our child safely. A special 'thank you' to the anaesthetist, who calmed my nerves and let me give birth without the pain and trauma I'd experienced in previous birth experiences at a different trust. My husband and I are so grateful, you're all doing an amazing job. 'Thank you'.

  2. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2023

Took my 17 year old son after having a collision during a football match, as he was having pains in chest and painful exhaling, We arrived and was seen almost immediately however whilst we were checking in, the member of staff seemed like they did not want to be there, and that we were disrupting their day. Made both myself and my son feel very awkward. Once assessed, we were explained to that they wouldn't x-ray his chest and that he is just to rest, and if it was any worse to go to Worcester A&E, despite us explaining he found it extremely uncomfortable to exhale. The injury happened 2 days ago and has been feeling worse since hence our visit. I felt we were being a nuisance and they almost resented having to see us. Very disappointing service, and now we are left unsure as to whether an A&E visit is necessary as we don't want to be made to feel that way again.

  3. Review titled great hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Admitted to A & E shorty after arriving by ambulance. Quickly assessed by Doctors and actions were planned. Within a few minutes I had an ECG. Following discussions with the Doctors an X Ray was carried out. After some remedial action I was discharged shortly after. Absolutely first class care, could not be faulted.

  5. Review titled Speedy, efficient, very caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Sprained ankle. Went to Malvern. Immediately told X-ray not working so went with trepidation to Worcester. Triaged, x-ray and treatment within 1 hour and 15 minutes. Amazing given the number of people waiting. Fracture, splint and treatment explained. Thank you to both minor injuries teams. You were fabulous.

  7. Review titled Admin need a shake up

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I received a phone call to attend a Rheumatology appointment at Redditch. So i had no letter. Not a problem. I have recently been attending Worc, but attended Redditch for many years, so i knew where Rheumatology was located. I took a ticket and sat down as the sign instructed and was totally ignorred. I waited 10 minutes and went up to the desk to say my appt was due but i hadn't been checked in. I was rounded on by two receptionists saying there is a big sign at reception saying to check in there! Well a big sign in the old rheumatology centre might have been a good idea too, because i had no reason to look for singage as i came into the hospital. What really narked me though was that they were allowed to just ignore me. If i had waited by the desk in a queue they wouldn't have been able to do that. I have been to worcs a number of times recently and each time i have had a survey text after the visit to ask how it had gone. Not from Redditch though.

  8. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2023

I recently gave birth at Worcester Royal Hospital and the care provided was amazing. Everyone that I came across went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and made the experience the best it could be. All the midwife’s and doctors supported me at every step of the way. A big thank you to the whole team and every individual that I came across during my time there. Even when things became a little unsure they were there supporting me at each turn.

  9. Review titled Speedy, with professionalism and care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Within 3 weeks of seeing my GP, I had a CT scan, and Colonoscopy. The staff were professional and caring, especially the staff at the Endoscope Unit @ Evesham Community Hospital - always asking if everything was O.k and smiling. Can't` fault the staff at all.

  10. Review titled A&E Exceptional Treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gordon Gray - Posted on 26 April 2023

Came in to A&E just after noon 25 April 2023 having experienced a ‘TIA’ at home the previous evening. From start to finish within minutes of arriving and in the hands of the ‘Stroke Team’ the speedy passage through all the procedures was exemplary. The process in conducting the scans, and various tests etc. was smooth which put me at ease and the professional attitude of all the staff was really very comforting. As my first and hopefully only visit to the A&E I could not have been in better or more capable hands - grateful thanks to you all there but particularly those personalities dealing with me throughout.
