  1. Review titled Visit to A and E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by B.P - Posted on 15 September 2022

I wanted to express my thanks to those ambulance staff who came out to me very promptly and dr who saw me in A and E when I had my prolonged nose bleed . Compassionate timely and very professional service . I was scared and put at ease immediately . I think they should be very proud of themselves.

  2. Review titled Why have a department not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Wayne canning - Posted on 21 September 2022

Had a call asking could I go to the hospital the next day for a cancellation. Asked who with as awaiting on 2 to be told we will find out and call you back. No call back or anything. What a waste of resources and now as didn’t show to the back of the pile. A appointment that someone could of had. Phone the appointment line who close early. If it’s 1615 then why close at 1600 hrs.

  3. Review titled Excellent care marred by car park nightmare

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Suzette Francis - Posted on 26 September 2022

Excellent service as usual provided by the children's centre. We left at 4.20pm, by 6pm we had not yet exited the car park. On phoning reception was told this was due to sheer volume of traffic. However it wasn't mere traffic volumes, but that due to the delay, the barrier wouldn't let people exit as it was registering people as not having paid sufficient to cover their time. Surely this can be anticipated? My daughter had a real panic attack as after reaching the barrier no one responded on help button ( despite the exact same thing having happened to the car in front). I then ran from the car into the hospital reception to see if any one could help. It was unmanned and the lady on a nearby kiosk said she could not help. People started to drive over the pavement to get around. The intercom was finally answered around 10 mins later! In these extreme conditions the barrier should be up. People will have already paid their fee to exit, its an additional hassle. The person answering the intercom said he had been handling other car parks, so would have been aware of the issue.... Please address this, excellent patient care is being ruined by such an awful experience. I saw so many elderly people not even able to reverse out of their parking spaces due to the build up of cars and cars mounting the pavement to get around the delay is an accident waiting to happen. Thank you

Rated 2 stars out of 5

24 hour heart monitor 5/6 Sept 2022. Still waiting to get the results back at the GP Surgery. Trying several times to call Cardiology at Kidderminster but it rings and then just stops/beeps after 15-20 seconds. So impossible to contact

  5. Review titled excellent customer care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This review relates specifically to the Breast Screening Unit at WRH I recently was the driver for a woman with no English who attended for a breast screening. An interpreter had been arranged. Even so there were a number of difficulties with accessing the necessary information. The staff at the Unit were friendly, attentive, helpful, compassionate and persistent in ensuring our visit was successful

  7. Review titled Amazing Service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christon Greenish - Posted on 24 August 2022

Presented at A and E after falling from the top of a ladder. Initial triage, consultant review, xrays and results all within 4.5 hours. Appointment made for the fracture clinic 2 days later. Arrived, greeted by a fabulous volunteer, taken to clinic, seen within 10 minutes and all sorted. Incredible. Very grateful.

  8. Review titled Incredible Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily Halley - Posted on 31 August 2022

My mum was admitted with kidney failure and the nurses on the ICU department were just incredible. So supportive and caring. They really are angels sent from above. They go above and beyond. I would however like to find out how to contact someone about recognition for a nurse In particular? How do I go about this?

I have just had a operation and every single person who I have met on my hospital Journey have been so kind and lovely. I’ve never been to hospital before so everything was new to me but everything was explained to me. the care I have had from everyone was top class. I have met 2 health care assistants who were great keeping me calm during painful Procedures by holding my hand. Nothing was to much trouble. Thank you everyone.

  10. Review titled Fabulous care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by William Wakefield - Posted on 13 July 2022

I was admitted via A&E (via an emergency phone call from my GP on Monday 11th July. I cannot deny that waiting times in A&E were pretty horrendous but hardly surprising given some of the people coming in complaining of having too much sun etc. Having said that the nursing staff were all wonderful and the young junior doctor from ENT who attended me was absolutely marvellous (I cannot recall her name but she was a young Asian lady who is now my heroine!) I had no idea of how ill I was and that my condition could have been life threatening without timely medical intervention. She possibly saved my life (although I am quite sure that like all doctors should would deny this!). I asked both her Registrar and Consultant to pass on my thanks to her but knowing how busy people are they may well have forgotten so could you please do this for me? My name is William Wakefield, a 66 year old male from Droitwich, admitted on Monday with a Quinsy (I'm sure she'll remember that bit!). Moving on, I was finally admitted to a ward (Head and Neck) on the evening and I have to say that the care I received there was absolutely exemplary. All staff without exception were friendly, polite, supportive and, above all, caring. You have some marvellous staff at this hospital and while no one ever wants to go back to hospital if I ever do then I would have no fears. Please do pass on this message to the wonderful staff who cared for me!
