Review titled New system is very bad
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 July 2024
New system they tell you to fill trigg form but do they read it. I requested femal doctor and still put me witn locum which I would see. I also ask to be seen face to face but that is ignored. Its very poor system. Tell to trigg form but what's the point if they don't read and just give u appointment with anyone not the dr you request. Its very poor service. I have been having issuing with my bowl for past 3 months and without checking was given different cream with phone call and I asked to see face to face after so many attepmt I got to see the nurse and she checked and gave me another cream but that's not working and I have given up. What the point filling trigg form and its not taken any notice. Wish could go back to how it was to get an appointment. When you phone either its not answered or when answered tell you to do online. But it's not working. I'm still suffering but I have given up filling form. How can a doctor diagnosed on the phone if u got piles and very sore back passage for past 3 months.

Review titled Could do with somewhere to breastfeed!
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Megan Chadfield - Posted on 30 April 2024
Took in my daughter for her first set of vaccinations. The staff were lovely and provided great advice, but afterwards trying to breastfeed in the waiting room as there was nowhere else was quite uncomfortable, it's strange how there's an attempt to make a private corner for testing blood pressure but nothing provided if you need to feed a baby?

Review titled 45 mins on hold
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2024
I spent 45 minutes on hold to try and get an appointment to be told they were all filled. Was advised to go to corby urgent care, which I can't. Was then advised to visit the surgery the following morning, for an appointment, which they can't guarantee I will get, so what is the point of this? I've been advised to get an appointment by the pharmacist, but this isn't going to happen. Where are all the doctors? New patients are being taken on all the time, but it seems they can't cope with the volume they currently have.

Review titled Don't give out advance appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 January 2024
I don't understand why my husbands surgery gives out appointments for another day? Surely this helps alleviate too many people visiting all on the same with less urgent issues. Some people can't easily ring at 8.30am and 1pm, or wait for a ring back if their work doesn't allow mobiles to be used. Even if someone else can call on their behalf to see if there are any appointments left, still can't then call said person to give them the appointment. As mentioned above other surgery's offer appointments for another day, so it really is difficult to understand. Waiting on the phone at 8.30am or 1pm and being number 30 in the queue, then getting through and no appointments left just can't be done every morning by people working at those times. There must be a way to offer this service.

Review titled Do not care about people
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 December 2023
I called two weeks ago as my mum gets referred to a private hospital for a procedure to allow her to walk without pain. Called them at around 4pm on the 5th of December to ask them for an update on the referral as I thought it was weird I haven’t heard anything in two weeks? She told me it was only done yesterday… so I called the private hospital to see if they could speed the process up as she has been crying in pain for the past two weeks for them to tell me that they have not received anything from the GP and if they sent it yesterday they would of already received it. So I called the GP again hoping someone would help me, the lady in the phone could of not been more rude if she wanted to! Not only she was speaking over me but felt not sympathy on the situation whatsoever as she “couldn’t help me at all” and I understand that it is out of her control however when asking for advise on to who I could speak about this for a further update or what she recommends I do next etc this she couldn’t also help me with. This GP is really going downhill, from sometimes waiting over 1 hour and a half on a queue for an appointment to very rude phone staff. So much for “we don’t tolerate staff abuse” but they can speak to you however they can Not good at all

Review titled utterly rude receptionist
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 August 2023
I called this afternoon as I had a missed call from the surgery. There was no voice message left so I had to call back to find out why they called. After staying on a very long queue over the phone, the receptionist answered the call who came across extremely rude and wanted to put the phone down on me without me explaining my say. We had cancelled an appointment in person at the surgery as were meant to be on holidays when the appointment was given but the receptionist kept saying to me that we failed to attend the appointment and they do not have any record of us coming in person to do so. On the other hand, their receptionist was the one who told us that ' I have cancelled your appointment and you will get a new one in the post'. The least thing we expect from the receptionist is to show us little empathy and not utterly rudeness, especially when they themselves moan about their doctors on site. A few times, it has happened with us and others that we wait at the pharmacy for the medications for ages after coming out of the appointment and we found out that the doctors have not even signed or sent the prescription out. The surgery used to be very good but last few experiences, I can definitely say that NHS is going downhill, this surgery's management needs to look into it.

Review titled useless

the last four times i’ve gone into the practise to get my medication sent to the pharmacy, and all four times the pharmacy hadn’t been sent the medication. after the first time i started to double check that they had sent it through okay and i was comfirmed all had gone through which it hadn’t. this wasn’t a major problem to me, people mess things up that’s okay (although it was continuous). today was my problem, i go into the surgery to get a telephone appointment booked for today, as every other day this week they was either booked up or never called me back, i confirm telephone appointment once again at the counter as i am busy today but needed to speak to a professional asap, i also made it clear it was about my mental health. i was given a time and once again reception messed it up and gave me a face to face appointment, no message no call, not even a confirm when i was at the desk she chose face to face when i had already made it clear i needed it on the phone. i wait 4 hours then give them a call as i was given a time, after waiting an hour and 4 minutes someone picked up the phone, she was incredibly rude and snappy, when i told her i didn’t get my call she said “we dont do telephone appointments at given times” i said okay, i told her my troubles with trying to get hold of the doctors and she said there’s nothing she can do, and she can’t help me and that it was not her problem. this is the 5th time this week i have rang the doctors at their opening times and this is the 3rd time they haven’t rung me back. i’m annoyed, and unsure what to do.
