    I travelled 1 hr for my referral from optician from only last Friday to have what seemed (I stand to be corrected) the same eye test as I had with the optician. . This must have taken 2 minutes at the most to be told absolutely nothing and to come back next week to see consultant. As there was not another sole,about surely having a test and then seeing the consultant in one visit would be much easier for everyone. Now another week of worrying before a diagnosis.

    From being referred by my optometrist only 10 days ago I had my first cataract removed yesterday and this morning my sight is amazing! The clinic is run efficiently and the team is helpful and friendly. I felt confident with my surgeon after being apprehensive. I’m now looking forward to getting my other eye treated! Thank you to all staff.

    I am attending the CHEC clinic in Blackpool for treatment and have found the service to be absolutely brilliant. Timings have been good and i have had no problems at all. It has been a pleasure.

  8. Review titled Waste of time

    I thought that I was going to be fully treated. I was assessed and told that the procedure wasn’t done there and I would have to have a further appointment in Preston What I don’t understand is that in order to make my appointment on line I was given a choice of dates and time. I chose the earliest appointment at Blackpool in the belief that I would have the required treatment which my optician had referred me for. I was told during the appointment that this is not done at Blackpool. Your referral system is not fit for purpose causing unnecessary patient visits and wasted appointments. I have no complaint with the staff or the smart new clinic. My complaint is about the referral system.

It is not uncommon for a doctor to examine a patient and then request additional diagnostic tests to gather the necessary information to make an informed diagnosis in the interest of providing the best care for a patient.   9. Review titled impossible to deal with

    Have tried many times to contact about an Eye review, examination etc later in August. they are impossible to contact without codes etc that they have never given me. I have a letter from them confirming date/time of review in 30/08, but cannot contact them on phone numbers provided cos it is a digital service requiring codes and so leaves you hanging. I am a 70 yr old pensioner, and my eyes are deteriorating, and giving me great concern, but I feel completely helpless because of their system's refusal to take calls. What patient care?

    I attended for my laser treatment, it was a marvellous experience. I was very nervous and a bit worried, but the lady that carried out the treatment put me right at ease and we were laughing. It is such a relaxed atmosphere.
