    Amazing service. 7 days from referral to first cataract operation and then 4 days to the second one 6 weeks later. Such a professional organisation. Staff kept me informed at each stage and the operation was pain free. No waiting around and I was out in an hour. The next day it was like an awakening. I have never been able to see distance so clearly even with glasses. Highly recommend this Company.

    I was asked to attend the Coventry branch of Community Health Eye Climic over the phone after being referred by Specsavers in Leamington for an eye condition. After spending over £60 in taxis for the round trip to its branch in Coventry, I had a photograph taken of both of my eyes in less than 3 minutes before being told I could go home. In addition I was kept waiting for more than 20 minutes for my appointment which was conducted by an over-brusque operator who did not take the trouble to explain the procedure in advance, and barely spoke more than a few words to me. I do not consider this as a good service as the photographs could easily have been taken at the Machen Eye Unit at Warwick (which I have attended previously) or at closer branches of Community Health Eye Clinic (which I have subsequently found to exist) at much less expense and inconvenience to me. The organisation is promoted as 'Healthcare for Local People' but I do not feel I have received good service from them. A little more consideration for someone suffering sight loss is not too much to expect from such an organisation.

    Dear Ian Burns, Thank you for your review. It is never our intention for our patients to deem the outcome from our service as negative. We do however appreciate your comments and will take them on board to ensure we continually improve patient experience. Where patients have multiple appointments, we will always aim to book these on the same day and location, however it may not always be possible and this will always be communicated to our patients at the time of booking. We always try to limit waiting times in our clinics but there may be instances where unexpected delays arise, and this is unavoidable to ensure all patients receive the necessary level of care they require. In these instances, we always aim to notify patients of any delays at the earliest possible opportunity, we are sorry if this was not the case at your visit and apologise for any inconvenience caused.     From walking in a being met by friendly receptionists to the surgeon who did my eye op, you are made welcome. everything is explained and you are treated with respect. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. 5 star service

    I was referred by my optician for correction of eyelashes which irritate my eyes. When I arrived for my appointment I found that I had been scheduled for laser treatment. When I asked what it is I was told that it is performed to treat the lenses of patients who previously had cataract removal surgery. I then informed the clinician that I hadn't had any cataract surgery. They then reviewed my notes and confirmed that a wrong procedure had been requested for me. If I had just accepted treatment and not asked what it was for my eyes could have probably been damaged. I was subsequently booked for a consultation on a different date and had to go back home. I had driven all the way from Warwick to Coventry for this. Besides wasting my time and money this near miss could have cost me my eyesight. I wonder if my details had been swapped with another patient's who really required laser treatment.

    By way of thanks to the staff of chec eye clinic Have a biscuit with your cup of tea as thanks for being so professional but most of all being so nice and friendly I am not the best of patients but the staff were so reassuring and understanding making me feel a bit special . Again, thanks.

    I felt that the clinic was very caring. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the surgeons explained the procedure very clearly. The transport that was provided was very efficient and the driver helped to put me at ease.
