Review titled Outstanding care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephanie Smith - Posted on 05 December 2024
I have had an X-Ray and Bloods taken at the city care centre this month, and was in and out within 10mins both times. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and you can tell how much they love their jobs. Absolutely fantastic, especially the lovely Donna.

I had a nurse pratitioner tonight 18.12.24 who was absolutely amazing. I had a smer and it was the easiest, smoothest friendly, professional, caring, quickest smer iv ever had. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease and shes the best person who has ever done a smer on me. 100% top nurse and person. Thank you so much.

Review titled Super, super ENT
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by ANDREW KENEDLER - Posted on 15 October 2024
I understand I am unable to mention names but I hope this is read by the persons who are referred to. I had an appointment at ENT for the 14th October. I was telephoned by a very pleasant lady who said the department was affected by an absentee and my appointment will be changed. Another phone call and text message produced another appointment just a little later than the original. When I reached the department the friendly lady on reception knew about my appointment. I thought "communications round here are quick and work". I did not have wait long and met my usual practitioner who cheered me up as usual. My ears are nice and clean again. He was assisted by the friendly lady from reception. It is not easy to run a department like clockwork and it takes ability and hard work to deal with a problem. Everyone I met was so friendly and got me sorted so nicely. Therefore I decided to write the above in the hope that those involved can note my gratitude.

Review titled Good Site in a Good Location
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 August 2024
Site is a short walk from Peterborough Train and Bus Station, making it easier to get to than Peterborough Hospital. Having services such as Community ENT in a Central Location is a great idea. As for the service itself, was seen earlier than my appointment time and was given great advice. The NHS should be more like this everywhere.

Review titled Otters Retreat - Fantastic Support
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Leah W - Posted on 13 August 2024
I only gave birth 3 days ago to my first child and I’ve been really struggling with breast feeding as it was so painful. I was advised that the otters retreat offers a breast feeding clinic - so I called simply to ask when it would be so I could attend and instead they sent a lovely midwife out within an hour to help me in person. She was absolutely fantastic and did not make me feel bad for struggling. She even helped with other queries I had too which put my mind at ease completely. I have other appointments there too and I cannot wait as it’s nice to feel supported and that they’ll actually make the time and not rush you.

Review titled Fantastic help from one of your member of staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ian Johnson - Posted on 21 June 2024
Please pass on my sincere thanks to your member of staff who came to my aid earlier today - 21.06.2024, after my car was hit in your carpark and when the driver attempted to drive away without stopping. your member of staff kindly contacted the Police at my request and cleaned my arm along with applying a bandage to my wound as a result of me falling over when giving chase to the perpetrator. your member of staff advised she was not a nurse and I hope you can identify this Samaritan from the details I have provided. I confirm I have never met this person before and have no personal motive for giving this feedback other than to thank her from the bottom of my heart. A true angel of society.

Review titled Fantastic friendly service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 March 2024
Today; Saturday; I attended the city care centre to get my bloods taken. There had been a mix up with my appointment but the lady taking bloods for the day couldn’t have been more helpful and said I could be seen. I was so grateful and I appreciate lucky. It was not just that she helped me it was how she noticed she could help and just did so. We don’t always see that in healthcare. Thank you I expect you would go the extra mile and stretch your day with kindness and care for all your patients at anytime you are able. Which is why you deserve some recognition. I do not always look unwell but the effort just to get to the appointment was long. The flexibility and support brightened my mood for the day. What a lovely person to have working for the department. I am not able to name the person in the review I expect this rule is due to protection of staff but, I hope you are easily identified.

Review titled Basics people, basics.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Fred - Posted on 11 March 2024
Considering that this is supposed to be a walk-in centre, access is very poor. Parking is impossible at times, quite a few in my experience, and parking nearby is very difficult. This can pose issues for those who are ill! When trying to call to discover opening times for departments, the automated system directed me (eventually) to the correct number, then automatically 'cut-off' because it wasn't 'active'. Great!
