    I attended for a colonoscopy and the experience was lovely from beginning to end. Lovely staff who explained everything and reassured me as I was a bit nervous. My initial results explained and when I would receive my biopsies back. A nice cuppa a gluten free biscuits afterwards 😊 The centre is light and airy without a hospital feel which is more relaxing too

    I called 111 at 8pm on new year day and was told it was really busy and it was unlikely i’d receive a call. By 9pm I had spoken to the out of hours doctor and they made my 4 year old son an appointment at Eccleshill Treatment Centre 10pm. We arrived early and was seen straight away. The doctor conducted an assessment of my sons health with care and kindess (as I had a very fragile tired child) and then provided the necessary medication and gave me thorough instructions and advice on getting my little boy better. The team couldn’t of been more helpful and the whole process was so smooth from start to finish which was brilliant when you have a poorly child, such service really made a difference. I really am grateful and wanted to share my appreciation. Thank you

    Dear Patient We are pleased that you had a good experience of NHS out of hours services however we do not believe that you were seen at Eccleshill Treatment Centre as we were closed that day and do not provide an out of hours service. Eccleshill Community Hospital - next door - is the out of hours service.

    From my initial appointment at the clinic then surgery,follow up weekly appointments at BRI and final discharge appointment 12 weeks later at St Lukes everyone one was kind,efficient and very professional.Thankyou.

    Had an initial appointment and was treated very well. Specialist was very thorough and sent me for further tests. I called yesterday trying to find out if the results of my MRI have been received yet. I made 2 calls and held both times for over 40 minutes. When I finally managed to speak to someone I found it difficult to get any idea about when I would have a follow up appointment. The results of my MRI test are on my NHS app so I am aware that they are now available. My first appointment was very thorough and the doctor was very helpful. Unfortunately the follow up has not been the same. It is very difficult to speak to someone to chase anything up so I am still struggling to know when the next steps will happen for me.

    Thank you for your feedback. Sincere apologies for your long wait on our phones. That should not have happened. Unfortunately without knowing your details we are unable to trace your call to look into why this happened. We will however investigate this the best we can to attempt to rectify the problem. With regards your MRI result that shows on your online medical record. we have to wait for the Hospital in which you had the scan to send us the report electronically, so there may be periods of delay from your GP practice receiving and inputting the report on your record to us getting a copy from the Hospital. Unfortunately, NHS IT systems are not all fully integrated as much as we would all like, nor are full shares always in place between organisations for us to see your full medical record. This is something we are all working on to improve. Apologies again for your experience on this occasion.

    They left me sitting in reception. Never got seen. Total waste of time. Nobody cared one bit. You’d hope for someone to try to help. But no. Not a bit of it. Never saw any clinician but the office or reception staff were unhelpful in the extreme.

    We are so sorry about this. We can only assume that you approached reception to let us know you had arrived, and once you had waited some time you approached reception again to inform us of that? The only way we can truly look into what happened is if you please contact us with your name. We can then explain any errors on our behalf and also ensure this does not happen to another patient. Please get in touch as we need to ensure there is no further delay in your care.

    Prompt service including being seen for pre colonoscopy meeting on a Sunday. The staff were all very helpful and professional befoe during and after colonoscopy.

    I had endoscopy this am at Eccleshill. Most efficient & professionally run service. Nursing staff are excellent! So friendly, explaining everything that's happening with professional & cheerful manner. Thank you for providing such a great service

    I’ve tried 3 times and approx 30 mins each time. Nobody picks up the phone! Is there anyone on reception? I had a scan in March, wanted to know results. How do I find out if I can’t reach by phone? Thanks

    I am sorry to read of your experience. In order to investigate what has gone wrong we need your telephone number so we can track it through our system. No line should be ringing for 30 minutes with no answer. Our phone should be giving the options to get through to the relevant team for the service you are needing. If they don't pick up it should divert to our main reception. We have checked and the rules in the phone system are set as this. The main reception is manned by 2 staff during our opening hours which is more than enough for the workload there. We have a closed message thereafter. Without your phone number we cannot see where our system failed. Please try our phones again and hopefully we will pick up after a few rings. If you could let us know at that point that Julie Winterbottom, Director, needs your telephone number staff will pass it to me. Thank you. Apologies again for your experience, we want to get things right, if you can please provide your number to us we then know what needs addressing.

    Hi other day I tried to ring about my wife!! I thought great when it said I was number 2... then after 10 mins I was number 1.... yes I thought I can get this problem with my wife sorted...oh no how wrong was I.. iwas was on phone for 1hr listening to that confounded music!!! Anyway battery went on phone ...just tried again today but another hour later listening to the same music .........can anyone explain?

    We are so sorry to hear of your experience of our service, this is not what we wanted for you or your wife. We implemented a new phone system recently that we are still working through to make sure every scenario is dealt with appropriately. Clearly something has not worked as it should have on this occasion. Without knowing what day and time of day you phoned and your phone number it is difficult to track what went wrong to then put it right. Our lines are open today as normal following the bank holiday so hopefully you will have a better experience calling in now. Please accept our sincere apologies for your earlier experience.
