Review titled Amazing Patient Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 September 2024
I am totally blown away with regards to my experience visiting this practice. received the utmost Patient Care. I felt like I was In a private hospital! Firstly, a delightful nurse was available to help me get from my car into the clinic. The speed with regards to actually getting seen by somebody, was so fast., I couldn’t believe it. I explained my symptoms as to why I had came there seeking treatment. I was so amazed by the knowledge about my symptoms the Nurse knew about. I left the centre feeling very confident that I had been given advice to help me manage my symptoms. I got home and immediately started the advise given. I can completely say that this advice started to work immediately. An absolutely fantastic experience.

very friendly and helpful staff. Staff recognised that I was quite ill and made me a priority. They did all the appropriate tests and I was sent home within a couple of hours with correct medication. Very happy with the staff.

Review titled Rude receptionist
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Adam - Posted on 24 March 2024
Upon arrival to the care center with my friend who was struggling to talk due to short breath and chest pains, we told the receptionist that my friend had been referred via 111. The receptionist showed no sign of care for my friend and simply shrugged off his pain and said "i cant do anything from here". So I asked on behalf of my friend what he is to do then. She simply pointed over to the machines and said under hear breath. "Information in over there and they will see you". This being a new place for me and my friend we wasnt sure on what the procedure was, as my friend was told via 111 to come into the centre and say he has been referred. I understand a receptionists job may get repetative but that is no excuse for rudeness and shrug it off behaviour. People are in pain and they need caring guidance not half bothered whimsical comments. I am appalled by her behaviour and hope action is taken on proper etiquette and respect for the people seeking health care.

Review titled Fantastic staff and service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended on Thursday evening (25th Jan) and found the centre to be extremely busy with many emergencies. Despite this, the staff were incredibly informative, friendly, welcoming and treated me with care. I got the support I need and felt very well supported. It must be a hard job the staff do these, especially with emergencies coming in, so the fact they still were patient and kind to all patients was really good.

I took my 5 year old daughter who was experiencing bad stomach pains. I called 111 and they couldn’t get me an appointment so went as a walk in. We were seen, treated and left within an hour even though it was a busy Saturday night. The staff were all kind and caring to my daughter and so grateful she wasn’t kept waiting for to long.

Review titled Great Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John Moore - Posted on 12 November 2023
After 3 days of trying to get a GP appointment without success I attended Urgent Care after 3 weeks with cough and chest condition. Doctor I saw was excellent. Had chest X ray and blood test to check for infection in a matter of minutes. Doctor fully explained his prognosis of acute bronchitis explaining it was viral and that antibiotics would no be effective. I had already been prescribed a ventolin inhaler along with a course of antibiotics by GP 10 days ago. He said to continue with ventolin and the coughing and wheezing would eventually subside which it is now doing. The chest X Ray gave peace of mind that nothing more serious was lurking.

Dear parent, Thank you so much for taking the time and for providing your honest feedback which is appreciated regarding your recent experience with us at the Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre especially as your child was poorly with suspected measles. I am the Patient Engagement and Experience Lead for DHU Healthcare, and I am both disappointed and sorry to hear that your experience with us was not positive on this occasion specifically in relation to staff attitude. If you would like to contact us directly regarding your experience then we could investigate your concerns in more detail to better understand and learn how we can do better in the future then please do not hesitate to contact our Urgent and Emergency Care Clinical Governance Team on 0300 1000 407 (should you get the answerphone message then please leave your name and contact details and a member of the team will call you back within office hours – Mon-Fri, 0900-1700) or via email at dhuurgentcare.clinicalgovernance@nhs.net. The team will then be able to take more details from you so that they can investigate why this has happened, and they will investigate your concerns further and feedback and as I say can help us to better understand and aid us in learning how we can do better to stop anyone else having a poor experience in the future as you have clearly had on this occasion. However, following receipt of your feedback I have already contacted our Lead for Infection, Prevention and Control (IPC) and shared your comments/feedback who will address the concerns raised and ensure that current processes are both fully understood and followed by all staff. I do hope that your child has now received the care and treatment they required and are feeling much better and I wish you both well for the future. Best wishes, Judith Brown Patient Engagement and Experience Lead (DHU Health Care CIC)
