Review titled 1st Class service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by ShaunO - Posted on 18 January 2023
Despite the turmoil at present in the NHS I cannot state how professionally, speedily and caringly my friend was dealt with. From start to finish was 2.5 hours finished. We were kept informed at each stage and kept relaxed when relating to the injury. (my friend has dementia).

I was taken to Loughborough urgent care by my husband this evening with a first time allergic reaction to something I'd eaten, from reception to treatment, I was given the very best care and I am so grateful to all staff involved, I only wish I could remember their names.. I am feeling so much better now and intend to contact my Dr to investigate the matter further. My thanks to all involved. .

Review titled Very efficient
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Judith Warrior - Posted on 22 December 2022
I was experiencing heart palpitations and as I have an existing heart condition I thought it was a warning of maybe a stroke or heart attack. The Centre did not keep me waiting more than 10 minutes before I was given an electrocardiogram and told the problem needed further examination that the Centre was not able to give. I was referred to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham with a clear description of what was needed. I subsequently received the treatment I needed and all is well so thank you very much to the staff in Loughborough.

Fell ice skating. Called prior arrival for xray. Every staff member was fantastic! Broke my wrist and elbow. I was in and out of the walking within 1.5 hours. Can't praise them enough!

All the staff, from the reception, to the triage, to the paramedic who treated me, were efficient and professional. I didn't have a long wait which I know isn't always typical but Loughborough is very lucky to have this amazing service open 24 hours and my family and I have always received great care here.

Review titled Fabulous
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to visit due to severe back pain and difficulty passing water. I anticipated a long wait as it was a Saturday evening and it was busy. I was triaged immediately then saw a doctor within 2 hours. They immediately diagnosed the problem and I was able to collect a prescription on Sunday morning. Frankly I cant fault them and in an emergency they're invaluable. A big thank you from me!!

Review titled Not enough staff - NHS is underfunded
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2022
Rang 111 to report suspected blood clot in leg following discharge from hospital 10 days prior for major abdo surgery. 111 called back 2 hours later and advised to go to Urgent Care Centre. Taken to Urgent Care Centre at 2am by my partner, I was in significant post-surgical pain as well as the leg pain from this hard lump. Reception staff at Urgent Care Centre advised there was at least a 2 hour wait, at which point I may be advised to then go to A&E at the hospital, for a further 2 hour wait. I waited an hour but was in too much pain and my partner was worried about me so gave up and took me to A&E (took 4 hours to be seen). There were only 2 other patients waiting in the Urgent Care Centre, it didn't appear busy, there just weren't enough staff, probably due to staff shortages due to lack of funding or providing proper pay for such staff.
