Review titled Boxing Day
Rated 1 star out of 5

7-8 hour wait to see a doctor. Just not acceptable, my 8 year old daughter has tonsillitis and we waiting all through the night to see a doctor which was also running super slow! Couldn’t have had more than 2 doctors on. The NHS is overwhelmed and it’s nobody’s fault but it really is something you wouldn’t expect for this country,If these waiting times are going to continue they need to upgrade to sufficient seating. A small plastic chair isn’t suitable for that length of time wait, my daughter was exhausted and nowhere comfortable for her to be able ti even sit comfortably, it’s not ok. Drinks machine not working and neither the refreshment vending machine. The water machine isn’t maintained and it absolutely filthy. This is where my contributions go.

Review titled Urgent care appalling waiting times
Rated 1 star out of 5

19 month old grandaughter was advised to go to urgent care at 4pm. It’s 11pm and still has not been seen by a nurse or a dr. Staff are quite rude. I appreciate they are very busy but a child at that age should not have to wait 7 hours plus to be seen. At least allow 2 parents to help with a distressed sick toddler instead of allowing only one.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent experience of visiting our service. We do endeavour to make waiting times as short for our patients as we are able and in doing so try whenever possible to prioritise children where we can. We are however a service that accepts patients from different sources and of all ages, the 111 service, other health care professionals and patients that walk in as well as accommodating different clinics within our building. These patients all have varying degrees of need; some will need GPs to go to their homes whilst some will need to be seen ahead of patients that have been waiting due to their clinical need. This does, unfortunately, mean that children will sometimes have to wait longer than we would like. We are sorry that, on this occasion, your waiting time with your child was longer than we would have hoped for, we welcome all comments so that we can continue to strive to improve the service we deliver. Kind regards MKUCS

Review titled 7 hours Wait
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ann - Posted on 31 December 2022
I felt I was in a backward third world country! People were vomiting, crying obviously distressed yet they were left to fend for themselves sitting on hard chairs with 2 health care workers looking on showing no compassion or care. People were coming in and being told if you stay you will have to wait 7 hours. No out of hours GP service anymore, A&E refusing to see people and sending everyone that can walk to this terrible place it felt desperate like a dumping ground

Review titled Unwelcoming reception staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Maria Ilie - Posted on 21 November 2022
Yesterday I used the urgent care centre. I have tonsilitis, and the 111 services directed me there since the GP was closed. I wouldn't usually go to urgent care because I know how overwhelmed they are, but I desperately needed to end the terrible pain I was in. The reception staff was one "eye roll" away from making me return home, but the pain was sharper. We both had our masks on, and it was tough to understand her, and she was not making it any easier; I had to shout even if I was in a lot of pain; whenever I asked her to repeat her question, she rolled her eyes. Not to mention how she "commanded" me the indications when she took my blood pressure and temperature. She said three times that I would wait for 5 hours until I would be seen. I know that the service is overwhelmed and the staff might be tired; I am sure it is not easy to deal with so many people simultaneously. However, a little kindness and respect wouldn't hurt. I didn't even mind waiting, but I spent the time there feeling sorry for myself after this experience. The nurse who was at triage was very helpful, and so was the doctor who saw me.
