All the staff were caring, taking time to explain things, pre, during and post surgery. Very fast lead time for appointments for assessment and surgery. I could select the consultant of my choice.

Everything was explained in great detail prior to op to remove cataract, so any nerves or worries had gone before surgery..Surgeon was really great explaining step by step... Follow up phone call the next morning to check all was OK....highly recommended and excellent friendly staff.

I have had 2 cataract removals this year. The experience was excellent both times. Every member of staff was helpful,explaining exactly what was happening. After the 1st removal I was able to drive within 2 days and see clearly. The 2nd eye recovery has been much slower but am coping quite well. I highly rate Newcastle Newmidica and wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone how exceptional the procedures have been.

From the first appointment to the procedure everything that they did was thoroughly explained by very friendly and efficientstaff in all departments. No delays from first appointment to procedure the next day.

On my two occasions I attended new medica I was treated from start to finish with respect and dignity and was involved with the decision making by every member of staff. The clinic had a 24hr telephone number which was very reassuring . When i attended my appointments you could see the teamwork involved ,which to means the people involved are very efficient and professional personnel at the clinic.

I visited my optician & I was referred to here. Within 2 weeks of my optician appointment I had my initial assessment appointment. At this appointment which took less than 1hr I had my surgery appointment for the following week. I’ve had my surgery & again I was out within a hour. Quick & efficient from start to finish.

As a very nervous patient the whole experience of having 2 cataracts removed within 4 weeks of each other proved to be the best decision I made. I can’t believe the difference in my eyesight, it’s incredible!! This outcome is mainly due to the lovely nurse who after listening to my fears told me what would happen and more importantly I would not feel anything and not see what was happening!! She was correct 😊 Also many thanks to the amazing surgeon who chatted and explained everything he was doing at each stage while still checking I was ok. I am delighted with the outcome. The follow up care is much appreciated too. Newmedica have a whole great team involved in your care and I would definitely recommend them.

Three weeks ago I had cataracts removed from both eyes. I can now see clearly in the distance and read without spectacles. An absolutely brilliant result from a seamless experience. All the staff were friendly and professional explaining everything clearly every step of the way. I am so pleased and I have already recommended a family friend to you. All that remains to be said is “A Huge Thank You!”
