    I can’t thank the staff enough kind ,courteous and very efficient my appointment was bang on time and also my wife’s ,we both came for laser treatment the procedure was explained and processed with in less than a minute I can now see properly what a gift they gave both of us

    I am sorry to have to leave a negative review as all the staff are lovely. I recently had a cataract / lens replacement. The procedure itself was quick and painless. However, the next day my vision was blurred plus I had lost the bottom and peripheral vision. I contacted Newmedica and was advised that blurred vision for a couple of weeks was normal and not to worry. I have to say that this is not how it was "sold" to me. The following day I was still extremely distressed as I make my living driving. I again made further contact. Newmedica did not seem concerned and asked me to come in after a few days. On arrival I underwent various tests and eventually saw their optician. He was clearly concerned and left the room several times to consult. Apparently the pressure in my eye high was extremely high. In my opinion. had I been seen right away perhaps the outcome would have been different. The pressure build up had caused the blood supply to part of the optic nerve to be cut off. What was concerning is the attending Ophthalmologist at Newmedica made no effort to see me and left me in the hands of the optician. I was given some pressure relieving tablets and was directed to the emergency eye ward at the Queen Alexandra hospital. The staff and Ophthalmologist at the QA were fantastic and really concerned. I underwent several tests and a blood test to rule out various possible causes. I was prescribed a course of steroids and various eye drops. Plus given several follow up appointments. Anyway, to cut a long story short, it has now been a month since the op. I have been left with life changing circumstances whereby I have lost around 50% of my vision in my eye and told that it will not improve and there is a chance that it will get worse. I paid privately, which in itself cost a significant amount. Needless to say I am an extremely unhappy customer. Like

    The whole experience was one of people interested in me , who were warm friendly and professional and I was left with a very positive experience which is great as I have to return in a couple of months

    Easy to find and park with very easy access . Wonderful friendly staff , nothing was too much trouble . I went from being very nervous to feeling much more confident about my treatment

    A patient was due at 8.45 but didn't get called in till 9.30 no communication to say sorry we are very busy and I had to ask at 11.30 to see where patient was No up dates what so ever

    My mum was treated at this facility and I have to say, if you go anywhere where you want your mum to be treated how you would treat her this is the place. All the staff were friendly, professional and so kind. I can’t thank them enough for all the help they gave and the personal touch. My mum’s sight is so good now and I’m so pleased she went to NewMedi Care.

    Just had my second eye done. The very efficient staff were reasuring, professional and made me feel very comfortable. Cannot recommend the whole unit highly enough. Thank you all for your assistance and my new view on life.
