From the first time I attended the clinic I was stuck by the care and thoroughness of all the staff. As I lead a very busy life it was such an advantage to be able to book my assessment and procedures to suit me. I had my assessment appointment within 10 days of my referral which was amazing. The staff are extremely professional and put you at ease immediately. I was able to call for advice after my first operation and the staff I spoke to were so reassuring and helpful.. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Newmedica in Middlesbrough and would rate the service that it offers as excellent.

With deteriorating vision a few years after cataract surgery, I was recommended YAG treatment at Newmedica by my optician. From the initial arrangements through to the operation yesterday the service was superb: extremely efficient administration, friendly and helpful staff, skilled and personable clinicians, and a pleasant environment. My vision is dramatically improved - everything clear, detailed and colourful. Thank you. The only small down side is a negative impact on skin ageing - according to the mirror :)

I was referred for cataract surgery on both eyes. I chose Newmedica in Middlesbrough after reading all the positive reviews on the NHS website and after speaking to two people I knew who had had their operations there and had incredibly positive experiences. I had cataract surgery on my right eye on 6 April followed by my left eye on 16 May. I’m happy to share that both operations were successful and I now have excellent long distance vision after using contact lenses for 50 years to correct my shortsightedness. I was extremely nervous before my first cataract operation but need not have worried. Everything about Newmedica service was top quality. All the staff were very professional and friendly, patiently answering any questions whilst fully explaining all the procedures; right through from reception, to the pro and post operation nurses and consultants. Newmedica has a high level of staffing which combines efficiency with professionalism, delivered in a friendly and reassuring manner in a modern and exceptionally clean environment I would like to thank the whole team for my successful operations and have no hesitation in highly recommending Newmedica.

I had my first cataract removed on 11th May. The care was first class from walking in the door to leaving. I was really anxious and all the staff were patient, offering reassurance when needed, even holding my hand while having surgery. The whole experience was painless, and from entering to leaving took 35 minutes. I had my second cataract surgery exactly 2 weeks after the first due to being very short sighted. Again could not fault the care and compassion of everyone involved. I had a follow up call today to see if everything was OK. Cannot fault this practice, everybody worked together so well to make it as pleasant an experience as possible for the patient. A big thank you to everyone involved.

I cannot praise this place highly enough. After just three weeks from referral, I arrived for a consultation and surgery on the same day. Two and a half hours later I was on my way home with a new lens in my right eye and the gift of clear sight restored. Every individual I met was thoroughly professional and filled me with confidence. I discussed my needs with the consultant who delivered exactly what I had hoped for with great care and precision. I can't wait to return for my other cataract to be removed in a few weeks time. Thank you all for taking such good care of me at this visit.

Yesterday I had a cataract removed from my 2nd eye.I cannot praise this clinic enough. On both occasions of surgery I found everyone so friendly and made me feel so at ease. Need not have felt nervous.Didnt feel a thing.Thankyou again. I will be back on 22nd for my 3rd macular injection. Once again I've found this procedure nothing to worry about.I would recommend this clinic to anyone

All the information provided beforehand was very comprehensive. The service from the receptionist, through to the clinical competence of the ophthalmologist was excellent. Thanks was being so accommodating. It was a pleasure to visit.
