I had a gastroscopy at Sandy Lane today and the Nurses and Doctor were amazing. You can tell they all work well together, they make a great team. They were also very caring toward myself and explained the procedure etc thoroughly. They definitely very knowledgeable in their work. The doctor was excellent and I found the procedure easier than my last one a few years ago at hospital. I would highly recommend them.

I attended for a gastroscopy a couple of days ago. (I was obviously apprehensive ). I need not have been . It was a small unit, the staff without exception, were friendly, welcoming, and reassuring. The procedure was fully explained, and I was not rushed in any way. I felt comfortable at all times. After the examination, again I was assisted by the staff and they explained about where and when I would get some follow up. I felt the whole experience in sandy lane clinic was as good as it could possibly be, and far more personal and friendly than it would have been in a large district hospital. Thank you to all concerned .

I was quite nervous about this procedure, but a calming phone call the day before from the team was really reassuring. On the day, the team looked after me so well, explaining everything, making sure that I understood and taking the time to treat me as an individual. They must do so many of these procedures, but it never felt routine. Each of the team talked to me at each stage of the procedure and helped me to stay calm. All three were superb and were simply lovely. If you're going to have a procedure, you would want these three with you. Absolutely lovely people. Thank you to everyone.

The experience was far less traumatic than I expected. Uncomfortable - yes, but not painful and I recovered pretty quickly. Staff excellent. Explained what was going on all through the procedure. Diazepam help a lot. Clinic could do with better signage and direction/instructions for attendees.

This was my first gastroscopy. All of the staff were extremely professional and courteous. They explained every part of the procedure and took great care to ensure that I understood what was going to happen, that I was comfortable with it and what would happen during and afterwards. My 2nd endoscopy, the first was 13 years ago in the hospital. So I knew what to expect, but the service and expertise shown at Sandy Lane Health Centre was impeccable! I can’t thank them enough for providing this excellent service in our community. It is a very unpleasant procedure but the consultant kept me at ease, you feel cared for and nothing is too much trouble. Long may this service continue!

I had my first ever gastroscopy I was extremely nervous before the test . The staff were fabulous they talked me through the procedure ,so I was fairly relaxed .i would recommend this department .

The best service and friendly NHS team and consultant I have been treated by this wasn't my first appointment of this nature but the first at this clinic this and it was by far the best everyone made me feel so relaxed and talked me through the whole thing before and during my procedure, I usually hate having this done but the consultant was amazing I didn't feel hardly anything not like other hospitals when you feel like you can't breathe and are choking and no discomfort afterwards ,fantastic and really easy to get to ,thankyou to all the team you all worked really good together.

Attended for an endoscopy and although had to wait past my app.time the staff were very helpful and considerate ,everything was explained in detail by the consultant .The procedure was completed with ultra care and I felt comfortable and safe .The results were explained and I felt really relieved that the whole experience was firstly made available locally quickly and secondly safely and very efficiently .This service is invaluable !

Recently, I was unfortunate enough to require a gastroscopy and was referred to this clinic by my GP. Although this procedure is not particularly painful it is highly unpleasant and I was rather worried about what to expect. I certainly had no need to worry. The staff are happy, good-humoured and very professional in their approach to the job and they put me at ease throughout my visit. Prior to the procedure, the Gastroscopist sat with me to explain what would be happening and told me how he would be undertaking the task and what to expect. The procedure isn't the most pleasant of experiences, but if I need one I would certainly have no reservations in returning to have it performed here. Thank you very much to all the staff there for making my visit more tolerable.
