This was cataract surgery on my second (right) eye and again was an easy and comfortable experience. All members of Spamedica staff encountered, from initial reception to the surgery and post surgery care, were very friendly and very efficient. I was made to feel very much at ease through the whole procedure. The actual operation was carried out calmly, quickly and successfully. My sight has improved dramatically as a result. I would not hesitate in recommending anyone suffering from cataracts to trust in Spamedica for their surgery.

Although this practice is a long way from my home address I was very pleased with the care and attention received from all the staff. I will need to go back to have the other eye sorted and look forward to the same pleasant experience

Extremely quick and efficient service- two cataract ops in a 3 month period- much better than the waiting time at the local hosp. Surgeons both excellent, though worked very differently. the second surgeon talked through the process as it was happening which I found especially helpful. All the nursing staff were friendly, informative and went out of their way to reduce any levels of stress patients might be feeling. Time in the waiting areas was acceptable prior to the appt and very good coffee etc available, Actual clinic premises very clean and modern. Parking easy on the premises. I would not hesitate to suggest others use the clinic.

I was very nervous before my op but the staff very friendly and efficient, following all instructions from the surgeon i came out of op stoll a bit worried but all was ok i could see straight away hardly any discomfort. Brilliant job

In all our dealings for my wife at SpaMedica Bedford we always felt like guests rather than patients, the attention and care my wife received exceeded all our expectations, the clinic was clean and bright, all the staff were unfailingly nice at all times and all of them knew what they were doing. The explanations of what was going to happen and the operation itself were first class and the aftercare ids great with lot's of helpful information and advice along the way. We wouldn't hesistate to recommennd them, they stand as a great example of what all medical services should be!

Had a cateract operation and the whole process from pre op assessment to actual surgery has been very very good. Clean modern facilities. All staff were helpful and reassuring. Am delighted with my new vision

The service I received was very planned and efficient with great care taken in each part of the process of my identity and if I was fully conversant about the procedure , which eye was being operated and and the follow up proceess. I was addressed by name when entering the reception area which felt really welcoming. I was then taken to see the admitting nurse, followed by the theatre nurse who explained the drops she was putting in my eyes and what action they would have. The consultant them came to see me and again checked my details, the eye that was being operated on, what I would be experiencing in theatre and that I would be wearing an eye patch until the following morning. After the surgery I was taken to see the discharge nurse who again checked my details and if I was happy with my treatment. She then went through the possible side effects of the surgery and what to do it I was worried. She spoke in detail about inserting the drops, frequency and length of the treatment. She also gave me a chart to keep a record of the drops and what to in the unlikely event I did not have enough drops to complete the treatment. She then checked again that I was happy with the information I had been given. She then took me to the reception where I was given a follow up appointment and my son then drove me home. This really was a very impressive series of interactions. I felt relaxed and unworried the whole time and I have no concerns about having my other eye done From the point of view of the premises they were absolutely spotless and a very impressive, welcoming building.

I had my second cataract procedure yesterday. I was not disappointed. Once again the care, attention to detail and expertise was second to none. I cannot recommend this organisation enough.

From beginning to finish. Staff and service couldn't be better. Very friendly and easy to talk to about everything. Surgernts kept me relaxed during op. And confident with all processes.
