I was treated politely and efficiently by all the staff at SpaMedica in Bedford. I had the assessment on the Tuesday, and the surgery the following day. The entire staff treated me and everyone else with respect, and told me what will happen, and answered any questions I raised. Surgery was quick, and the total time I was with them on the day of surgery was less than an hour and a half. Excellent service by all, thank you all at SpaMedica, Bedford.

From first app. To having my cataract replaced was an amazing experience. The admin staff, nurses and surgeon were exemplary in their professionalism, knowledge and customer service.

I had my second cataract surgery in November 2022 &, as the first time, it was a very positive & successful experience. It was stress free & pain free. Everyone was organised , very kind & respectful. Fantastic team work. Many thanks!

Once I was referred for treatment there was no delay. I was seen very quickly and booked for my operation straight away. The premises were spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. My experience with this clinic was excellent.

It was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Very efficient, absolutely spotless and all staff amazing. So friendly, helpful and all looked immaculately presented.

Pre-assessment was fine and so was the cataract procedure. The aftercare was rubbish. A translator was organized, even though she wasn't requested. She was rude and acted as if she worked for king Charles. She also translated a question wrong. I felt faint after, whilst the nurse was talking to me and highlighted this several times that I feel anxious and faint and needed some air. I was ignored several times. The nurse came across as very patronizing. I have had one cataract done via the NHS at my local hospital and one at spa medica. I believe the only benefit of spa medica is the reduced waiting list otherwise the local hospital was much more caring and attentive. The pre-assessment and actual surgery were smooth and problem free.

SpaMedica were in contact very quickly following referral and once accepted for treatment were equally quick offering operation dates. Once attending for operation, the process is very slick and my 1st eye took just 2 hours start to finish. The 2nd eye was even quicker being in and out in just about 1 hour. This is exactly how routine surgery should be, organised, focussed, professional and timely.

A well organised and efficiently run facility. Referrals and booking in were quick. There was very little waiting between treatments and refreshments were available. All staff were helpful, kind and attentive. The best medical facility that I have ever been in!

I had a cataract removed from my left eye and felt quite nervous about it. Patients go through various stages before they have the operation. Staff were very supportive during these stages, explaining what would be happening. The operation itself didn't last very long. The after care was good too, with a welcome cup of tea! I need to have a cataract removed from my right eye next and now do not feel nervous about it.
