    Complete lack of regard for the time of patients - extensive delays in the day meaning that arrangements made for the appointment (driving patient, looking after dependent wife who suffers from Parkinson’s etc etc) are completely up in the air causing significant disruption to numerous people’s lives and work. All for the sake of not properly communicating the long wait times. Infuriating. And highly disrespectful to the patients and their families.

    At my pre-op appointment a scanner did not work necessitating a return which took 2.5 hours for a 5 minute scan and 2 minute conversation. Post surgery (2 months after) I returned for check up as referred by my optician due to blurred vision in operated eye. Again a scanner was not working. I was told there was nothing wrong that it would probably settle and discharged as I was not comfortable with proceeding to surgery in other eye. No consultation with surgeon was offered. I now feel abandoned.

    My first cataract operation. Offered an assessment appointment within days of being referred then at the end of that session was offered a cancellation date for 4 days later! Excellent service, staff extremely polite and helpful and put patients at ease before their op. Would highly recommend this branch of the SpaMedico Hospitals

    Staff were informative, friendly and helpful. Everything was explained as they did my op. Would definitely recommend them, the waiting times were not too long.

    Felt really comfortable at this small cosy clinic. All staff were very friendly and welcoming, great organisation by each person I saw. Definitely recommend people to go to SpaMedica Brighton.

    I attended for my first cataract operation. From start to finish the staff, right up to and including the consultant, were wonderful - friendly, patient and knowledgeable. The procedure was explained in depth, and I was given the opportunity to ask questions at every stage. The consultant kept talking to me throughout the procedure which really helped. Absolutely 5 stars from start to finish

    I've had catact operations done at Spamedica Brighton and laser operation/refinement at Spamedica Bexhill. There is not enough space here to convey how good Spamedica and its employees are. The staff answers the phone quickly, and can answer any queries competently. Receptionists welcome patients with a coffee. Every staff member - from receptionists to surgeons, and every nurse and analyst in-between - makes a concerted effort to make every individual patient feel relaxed at ease, so much so that by the second waiting-room during the procedures, patients are relaxed enough to chat with each other. Operations are carried out within days of the pre-op assessments. At a time when it seems 'de rigeur' to criticise and complain about everything and everybody, the efficiency, care and attention at Spamedica is absolutely second to none. Thank you all at Spamedica Brighton, Spamedica Bexhill, and the staff on the phone.

    Following optician referral, pre-assessment appointment arranged very quickly followed by date for first eye surgery. After 4 week check, date received for other eye - all completed within six weeks. Staff were efficient, helpful & reassuring.

    The staff are amazing at this hospital, as soon as you walk in the front door you are made to feel at ease. From the moment your name is given at reception you are treated as if you are the only one there and from then on you are treated with respect and friendliness. I would thoroughly recommend this hospital to anyone.
