Word cannot describe the fantastic care and service this clinic provides. I would recommend anyone reading this to ask for a referral to Spamedica.

Like most people I was a bit apprehensive of having the cataract surgery but as it turned out it was a really pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and put me completely at ease. This applies to both the assessment and the actual operation itself. The car parking facility was excellent if a little difficult to find on a first visit. The whole experience went very well and I am very pleased with the outcome so far.

I was very worried when my optician told me I needed cataract surgery. They referred me to SpaMedica in Bromley and told me I would hear from them within 3 months. Two days later I received a phone call from SpaMedica and they gave me an appointment for two days later. I was very nervous about the surgery. My worries and concerns however were unfounded. Without exception, the entire staff at the clinic were amazing. At every stage, each procedure was carefully explained and performed using state of the art modern equipment. The operatives were very friendly, very experienced and did a great job of making me feel at ease. Eventually the cataract surgery was performed and I wondered why I had been so anxious. At no time during the entire procedure did I experience any pain or discomfort. I was quite amazed by how painless the whole procedure had been and I would strongly recommend anyone not to worry about going for treatment at SpaMedica, Bromley. Again, I can’t praise the whole team enough. Caring, friendly, considerate and extremely professional. Thank you all so much at SpaMedica.

I attended for my second cataract operation, and once again received friendly and efficient care from the receptionists, nurses, theatre nurses and the surgeon. This clinic is absolutely first class.

I was a little concerned before I went, but it was a really nice experience, and went well with ease and no discomfort. I can see better already after only one say. I look forward to now having my other eye done

I was referred for cataract surgery by my opticianand after reading the reviews requested Spa Medica for my referral as I was not happy with the pressure that I was being put under from the original clinic that I had been referred to. Basically they wanted me in to do both eyes without ever having seen me! My pre-assessment appointment was received within 2 weeks and I duly attended on 24 April. The free parking is excellent and on arrival at the clinic we were welcomed and asked to take a seat. I was quickly called in and had my 4 assessments all of which were painless, quick and well explained. The final part of the assessment was with the Optometrist who carefully explained my options before we agreed that surgery at this point was not in my interests as I had nothing to gain but with an assurance that I could refer myself back should I need it in the future. Obviously I was very relieved and very grateful to have received all the tests to check my eye health. Should I need cataract surgery in the future I would have no hesitation in choosing Spa Medica. All the staff were lovely and I was offered drinks several times while waiting for the next bit of my assessment. My only query really is why the original optician referred me so quickly for cataract surgery when in actual fact surgery is not necessary right now and may not be in the future. My advice would be to get a second opinion if you are unhappy or unsure but I could not fault Spa Medica at all and just grateful that they have a pre assessment appointment before proceeding with surgery. Needless to say I am very grateful to the Optometrist for guiding me to the right decision and not making me undergo unnecessary surgery.

Just had my second eye done at SpaMedica Bromley. Cannot fault them at all as with my first eye done there as well three months ago. Very helpful caring professional staff which is a real help if you are nervous Extremely well organised and a very high standard of cleanliness - when I went the place was spotless. Thank you SpaMedica haven’t stopped singing your praises to everyone who asks. And the most important outcome, my vision is great, so a million thank yous to your amazing medical staff.
