When arriving for my operation, I was greeted at the door and taken through to reception, where I was given tea and biscuits, and asked to take a seat. There was a poster on the wall outlining the 5 steps that I was going to go through. That was very helpful. At each stage the staff were very pleasant and helpful, and answered any questions I had. I felt comfortable and looked after at every stage. The surgeon introduced himself and explained what he was going to do. Everything g went according to plan. It was very quick and painless. Afterwards I was told what would happen next. 3 days on, I feel I am making a good recovery and am very pleased with my sight. A big thankyou to everyone involved with my care.

Lovely experience there, the staff are marvelous and couldn't believe how quickly I received my operation, from going for am assessment one day, to be operated on the next. Fabulous service

The staff, the professional people, everybody connected with my cataract surgery were highly proficient, friendly. and explained the procedure which put me at ease with what was going to happen. I cannot praise them enough for all they did. A big thank you.

Staff very friendly, helpful & informative about what was happening & plan for operation. From checking in, having operation & leaving clinic was just 1 hour. Clinic itself was well run & very clean. Would thoroughly recommend.

I was impressed with the speed of being seen after the referral by the optician, the thoroughness of the pre-op assessment and yesterday I had the cataract surgery. I understand that 22 to 26 patients are operated on at a day’s session. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. The surgery itself went well. I was apprehensive but reassured by the pre-op nurse. I didn’t feel anything apart from slight pressure on the eye. You have to keep still and look at the bright light shone into the eye. After the surgery, you see the discharge nurse who I particularly liked. She explained the dos and don’ts going forward. Then you are free to go home but not before a welcomed cup of tea or coffee with a biscuit. My eye has been throbbing a bit post op but paracetamol helps the discomfort. The eye is also watering but today is only the first day post op. Glad to report that the vision in the operated eye is much clearer. My only dislike was the loud music from Smooth radio played before you go into the theatre. I found it hard to relax at the volume played. Perhaps though it was to drown out what was being said in the adjoining room you enter, prior to surgery.

Assessed 13 Oct 2023 with great hospitality and on-time examinations with full explanation at all stages .Extremely quick progress to my operation date of 17 Oct 2023.Went well and again well informed and treated at each stage.Staff friendly , helpful and a wonderful gentleman who got me a coffee and kept me dry whilst getting to my transport(I use a walking stick having mobility issues).Assistance and hospitality that leaves a lasting good impression.Well done SpaMedica Doncaster !!
