From referral to operation, I was kept fully informed about what to expect at the pre-op visit through to the actual operation. I also found their website to be extremely comprehensive and helpful. The clinic was very efficiently run, but this did not infringe upon the friendliness and warmth of the staff. At no stage of the process did I feel rushed and I was kept well-informed about the process from start to finish. Although anxious about the operation, it was exactly as previously explained and I now know that I worried unnecessarily!

The care I received for a pre-op and operation was outstanding, and I can't thank the friendly staff enough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Well organised on both visits and ran without a hitch. Everything explained and I had no fear of the unknown. Everyone so kind and caring felt as if I was a private patient and not NHS. Will have no fear of having the other eye done when the time comes.

I was terrified but I was made to feel calm and relaxed. I couldn't belive how quick and pain free the procedure was. I can't wait to have my other eye surgery. Great staff. Nurses and surgeon.

I cannot fault the efficiency, treatment and patient care throughout my visits in February and March. The staff were so helpful and supportive. The surgical outcome to remove my cataracts was excellent. Thank you so much.

I have has my first cataract procedure today by the nhs at Spamedica in Exeter. Three weeks from referal to op.Had my pre asessment on thursday,op on sunday. I have had the standard iol implanted and am totally amazed at the colour perception.All the colours i could see before are so bright clear and vivid.I didnt realise how bad my untreated eye was.if i close my treated eye,it looks like im looking through a sepia film,change eyes and whites are now brilliant white. The procedure was very pleasant,no pain or discomfort at all.7 hours since op,no discomfort at all. I must praise the spa medica staff in exeter,from being greeted at the enterance meeting the reception staff,nurses and my surgeon,all fantastic caring people who were totally professional and put me at ease all the way through. I cant recommend them more.

From the moment I arrived all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Several times I was asked if I wanted tea or coffee etc. every stage was explained to me and I didn’t feel rushed if I asked any questions Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Spa Medica to anybody

I had three consecutive appointments for removal of cataracts in both eyes starting with an assessment. I was extremely impressed with the friendliness, efficiency and professionalism of all members of the team on each occasion. I would not hesitate to recommend SpaMedica to anyone requiring similar treatment. Thank you all very much.
