Very friendly and very efficient staff .. every one of them! They explained the procedure and made me feel at ease. I have no red eye afterwards. The results are amazing but it's difficult to coordinate both eyes so am looking forward to getting the second eye operated on. Colours and lights are wonderful!!

Fast, efficient service, with very friendly staff. Procedure was carried out with plenty of information being given. I will definitely get my other eye operation done with this practice. If only all other NHS services were as good as this, it would be a service to be proud of again.

Great practice everything was smooth from my first contact with the center, from making my appointment for my pre assessment to having my cataract surgery. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend

Very friendly and professional staff. Can’t do enough to make you feel comfortable. Facilities are great, cleanliness is perfect. You don’t feel rushed and are given plenty of time to ask questions.

My opticians informed me that I should have cataract surgery on both eyes which I accepted and they duly booked the surgery with SpaMedica, Gateshead. Promptly, I received a plethora of information and confirmation of my appointment for pre- surgery examination of my eyes I have now had my right eye de-cataracted and am looking forward to my left eye operation. I was very impressed with every member of SpaMedica staff who I met, from the minibus driver ( yes, provided transport from home and return) to all the other very friendly, very reassuring and very, very competent.

Welcoming staff, made to feel at ease from arrival to departure. Procedure and after care explained and surgery executed professionally by a personable surgeon. Rang my husband when surgery complete to collect me.

From my first visit for assessment to completion of surgery everything was very provisional and curtious would highly recommend spamedica for anything to do with eyes.

Both the pre med assessment and the surgery were carried out efficiently and professionally. Everything was explained clearly and the procedure went without a hitch.

Attended the clinic this morning for an operation and it was all pleasant and efficient. The staff were particularly helpful and the surgery was completed quickly and skilfully.
