Attended clinic in Quedgeley three times, Sep - Nov 2022, first time for assessment, then surgery on both eyes. Excellent and highly professional experience on all occasions. Cannot recommend too highly. Just shows what the NHS can do when it uses a high quality contractor. Congratulations and sincere thanks.

SpaMedica is superbly run, my pre op visit and return visit for my cataract operation was faultless, all staff were professional and dedicated in their work even down to the cleaning lady who asked me if I needed anything, there was such a friendly atmosphere which made you very relaxed, very satisfied patient

Attended Gloucester unit because I was offered a cancellation appointment which meant that I had my second procedure two weeks earlier than booked for in Bristol. Again the staff very friendly and reassuring. Although I new what was going to be done, I was still apprehensive because it was my eye. Once again the procedure went well without any problems.

From the moment I stepped on to the Spa Medica transport at my front door I was looked after with great care. All the Staff at the hospital were extremely caring and helpful. Progress was quick and easy to follow. The actual procedure was painless and my worries beforehand were unfounded. Theater staff were outstanding. Discharge procedure was straight forward and in no time I was back at my front door.

At all times I was treated with efficiency and kindness. Transport was arranged for me - arrived on time. At every stage of the procedure there was one-to-one contact with each nurse who explained what would be happening and also with the surgeon. Everything was very straightforward and not at all stressful - a calm environment in excellent facilities. And a telephone enquiry after the op was dealt with immediately. A very good experience at all stages.

Because of the great team in Gloucester for my first cararact, I wasn't quite as nervous for my second cataract op as for the first. In spite of the fact that they had been delayed during the mid-morning Ops and were running approximately 40 minutes behind, the attitude of the Team remained positive, friendly and caring. Yes, you could sense they were working hard to catch up and not delay patients any more than they had to but the smiles were still there. The Staff ensured everybody was kept up to date and regular apologies for delay were made. It was obvious when I left with only one patient behind me, that the team were going to be a little later finishing that night and I am certain they were tired but none of that came out in their comments or actions. When I had to drive tonight to help a friend who had broken down I was so grateful. And even more so when I got home and could see all the stars singly and clearly in the cold bright clear sky - something I hadn't been able to do for about two years!

I have had both my eyes operated on for cataracts at Spa Medica. All the staff looked after me so well and nothing was too much trouble.
