I had my cataract surgery last week and although I was very nervous it proved to be fruitless . Everything went smoothly , the difference in my eye is marvellous and can’t wait to have the other one done . The staff were very reassuring and helpful

I visited Spa Medica in Hull in Seprember. First for a capsulotomy, followed by removal of cattaract. Casulotomy was fine , the cattaract removal was .uch more painful then the previous one. I have persevered but 4 months on my eye is still painful at times and uncomfortable most of the time. I am surprised to say the least that it has lasted so long. My eyesight has improved but the discomfort takes away the joy of having clear site back. I can not fault the staff they are pleasant and supportive from beginning to end.

Referral was quick and appointments for pre op and op for cataract were done without delay and to my convenience. All staff were pleasant , helpful and professional.

From the moment you enter the building, you are greeted by and dealt with by the most helpful and polite staff. Although I was very nervous about having my cataract done, the nursing staff and surgeon explained what to expect every step of the way and I was made feel very safe, very comfortable and was well looked after throughout the entire experience. I can’t praise the staff at SpaMedica Hull enough, and now have no worries at all about returning to have my second cataract done. Thank you.

I was extremely impressed with all the staff involved with my cataract operation. I was treated very well indeed from walking in right up to leaving. I can highly recommend Sparmedica Hull.

Nothing not to like. The staff and clinical team were amazing and so professional and comforting throughout. The facility is something to be proud of - very clean, roomy, comfortable, bright and modern. Had the pre-op on the Friday followed by the procedure 4 days later on the Tuesday. Before, during and after the procedure, all staff were courteous and supportive, keeping me well informed every step of the way. Refreshments were available whilst waiting to see the clinical team. Can‘t praise the whole operation from start to finish enough. Well done SpaMedica, you make a difference to people.

Had a assessment on Monday and operation Friday, excellent service, great efficiency and kindness, very pleased , only slight irk had to travel for 1 hrs 15 to reach clinic,but worth it .thank you.

I was referred by my optician for cataract surgery, which immediately left me nervous. Spa Medica contacted me very quickly to arrange an assessment at a convenient time for myself. Assessment was thorough and carried out by helpful and friendly staff. Following on, I was able to choose another convenient appointment date for the first eye op. On the day on the op, I was extremely nervous, but there really was no need. The staff were very reassuring, and the whole procedure was completely painless. I am actually looking forward now to having the other eye done. I do have one suggestion, if SpaMedica read their reviews: my husband sat in the reception area waiting for me, and commented that the seats were really uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. I guess many patients have someone accompanying them, and waiting, as there isn't really anywhere to go nearby. Perhaps this could be addressed?

I had my first cataract removed,all the staff where Ist class from start to finish.very impressed with the whole process, the building was immaculate,I have no worries having my second cataract done,SpaMedica should be very proud of themselves

Refreshments were available whilst waiting to see the clinical team. Can‘t praise the whole operation from start to finish enough. Only thing is I wish there is an option for upgrading to bi focal lens as well as basic NHS. Well done SpaMedica, you make a difference to people.
