Having had cataracts removed from both eyes at Newcastle under Lyme Spa Medica, I cannot praise all the staff there highly enough. From the initial assessment through to the actual surgery, everyone was welcoming, friendly and reassuring. Thank you all so much.

From start to finish, a very friendly experience, all procedures were explained to me before anything was carried out. The whole team were very experienced and attentive. There is one thing that that did concern me, As a known type 1 diabetic it was not explained to me that the Prednisone eye drops would elevate my blood glucose levels. After a worrying couple of days I spoke to my GP who explained this to me.

All staff looked after my dad and I from the very moment we walked in. They listened, explained, put dad at ease, treated him like a person and not a number. Absolutely outstanding, care throughout

I received exceptionally thorough treatment from all the staff that were involved in my case. From the moment I walked through the front door to the moment I was discharged, both at the assessment visit and when the surgery was carried out. Every member of staff was very pleasant and caring and appeared to be really enjoying their job. The clinic was incredibly clean in every room with the finest of details been thought through - like various puzzles available while waiting. Another lovely touch was a collage of local events to look at - a great trip down memory lane. It was all just so impressive and helped to counteract the feeling of apprehension and anxiety.

All staff from receptionists, nursing staff and surgeon made sure you knew exactly what what ws happening while maintaining a fully professional anf friendly manner

I found everyone so kind and caring, can't do enough for you, from the moment of arrival until departure. The surgeon was outstanding and saved my eyesight.

From moment first arrived the gentleman on front desk was welcoming and made me feel at ease, every staff member from receptionists to nurses and doctors always had a smile on there faces and were happy to speak to you. From the moment you walk in everything is so efficiently run there is refreshments available, lockers for your coat and handbag I could not fault anything and would very highly recommend I have just returned for second eye and was completely relaxed thanks to my experience for first eye

My second cataract op at this clinic, also my wife's first. Friendly and clean, all staff very helpful. My second op not quite as good as the first as I have a bit of a bruised eye, but no pain whatever during op or afterwards. Its now 3rd day after surgery and the new lens is good. All my post-op symptoms are normal according to the booklet, so nothing to worry about !
