This is the second cataract that I have had removed this year and the treatment I received was excellent. Would very strongly recommend this clinic.

I attended the practice for a pre-op assessment and 3 days later was having my cataract operation. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and put me at ease.

I was referred by Specsavers Witney for cataract surgery. From my first visit to having both cataracts removed I received amazing treatment.

I was very impressed with the efficiency of the booking system (and delighted that I had appointments within a week or so from referral). All the staff I encountered were professional and kind. The procedures were well explained as were the precautions to take after the operations. The booklets that were issued were written in plain English, informative and easy to understand. All in all I could find no fault with the whole experience.

Pre-assessment was slow, but, the surgery was quite quick to follow ie less than two weeks. Despite the number of clients, the professionalism of the staff from receptionist to surgeon was excellent. At each stage your questions were answered and you felt reassured and procedures clearly explained.

All went well until I saw the optometrist - the qualified person who is meant to listen to what outcome you want with your sight and prescribe the appropriate lens to be fitted. They were completely out of their depth, refused to read the notes the optician had sent on referral, eventually read the notes,then changed their mind but eventually gave me a form to sign specifying something completely different. I was so shaken I cancelled the surgery as I had no confidence that the correct lens would be fitted. I complained to Spa Medica to be told by the horrified manager that the person I had seen was a trainee and should have had someone with them! This was my second cataract eye - the first was at the JR and satisfactory.

I had cataract surgery at Long Hanborough on 4th March. It was under 2 weeks from referral from SpecSavers to my assessment and I was offered next day surgery! The patient journey from entry through the doors for assessment to leaving after surgery was exemplary - everyone was extremely caring, friendly and professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough. As an 'anxious patient' I can assure anyone concerned about the procedure you feel absolutely no pain and do not 'witness' the laser surgery. A cover is placed over your face (not restrictive for this claustrophobe) and you are asked to focus on 3 bright lights which dance around and change colours. It was a very easy comfortable procedure over in what seemed a couple of minutes. Spa Medica knows what they are doing and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

From seeing the opticial to get referred through to having the operation took ony 2 and half weeks (I got a cancellation slot for the operation itself.) Local clinic with friendly and efficient staff. I'd thoroughly recomend SpaMedica.

Easy to get to. Good free parking. Very friendly welcome. Initial attendants were so helpful. Nursing staff could not have been better. All went well with operation. Thoroughly recommend this clinic.
