From checking in to following up, the process is flawless. The staff are friendly, informative and thoughtful. They work well as a team. The building is dedicated to eye surgery and built to deliver those operations . There’s no doubt why you’re there. The process is calm and logical and you’re soon prepped and meeting the surgeon who explains what will happen and how he will guide you through. And then, you’re in the operating theatre which is large, clean, calm and has a friendly and efficient feeling. The operation is amazing, intense but totally painless and the surgeon and his team are quietly guiding you through. I’m now on day one of my recovery and am already feeling the benefit of cataract surgery. For me the NHS has played a large and positive role in my life and I’m eternally grateful they exist. The development of Spa Medica is absolutely the right way forward for this type of operation I thank you

To say I was nervous was an understatement, but as soon as I walked into the hospital for my cataract operation I was immediately put at ease. The staff and Surgeon were brilliant. The operation itself was only 5mins. I couldn’t believe it when the Surgeon said “ okay all finished” I definitely recommend Spa Medica Sheffield. 5 Star plus rating A massive Thank you to all the staff 👍👍 From Denise Naylor

My wife had her second cataract operation only a week ago and just like the first, it was done in the most professional of ways. From the receptionist right through to the consultant she could not have had better treatment. Our most grateful thanks to all SpaMedica staff.

The clinic is warm, friendly and clean. Everyone working there was extremely professional and so kind. I didn’t feel nervous about my operation thanks to how the staff go through everything with you. The cataract operation was painless and very quick, most of the time you’re waiting for drops to become effective. Lovely practice.

Recommend by BootsChemists. Waiting time was less than that for other Sheffield Hospitals. Obtained an early pre-op consultation, and made appointment for surgery one month later. The surgery lasted only a few minutes, and sent home with eye drops. The staff and surgeon were friendly and efficient. I have nothing but praise for this NHS clinic.

The care and attention of everyone at the practice in Sheffield was outstanding. Everything was explained prior to surgery and the surgeon was exceptional. Aftercare was fully explained and I felt afterwards that everyone from doorman and cleaning staff to the surgeon really cared.

From my initial pre-op' assessment in July 2022 through to my operation yesterday, the professionalism of the whole team is exemplary from start to finish. No unnecessary information - only what you need to know, no waiting around, you are directed quickly from person to person with efficiency and smiles, that reduces stress and makes you feel as you are the only person that matters.Would fully recommend to anyone who needs this treatment.
