Overall the staff where very good and accommodating, I did find the surgeon a little aggressive with the operation in comparison to one I had done in Barnsley Hospital. Would I recommend Spamedica, yes. Communication was good, setting up the assessment and date of the Cataract removal was also quick with very little waiting time.

From 1st examination at Newark to treatment at Shefield including transport the experiance was 1st rate and I was delt with caringly and all thing were explained very well . Iwould recomend Spa Medica to anyone

I had been looking forward to cataract replacement for some years having had increasing difficulty in reading and driving at night. I finally received a referral from the optician and chose SpaMedica at Chapeltown because I had received good reports from previous patients and there was a short waiting list. The consultation day was very well organised and I was offered a date for the operation the following day. However, I chose an appointment three days later in order to prepare fully for the operation. On the day, everything went very well and more or less to time. The longest wait was for the dilation drops to work but the actual operation was very quick, completely painless and, believe it or not, I actually felt myself falling asleep even though the procedure can’t have taken much more than ten minutes. The consultant and staff in the theatre were brilliant, chatty, informative and caring. The after op briefing was very comprehensive and I was given a date for the post-op consultation two weeks later. The whole experience was very good and I look forward to having my right eye corrected shortly.

Very happy with treatment I received. Everyone was extremely helpful and efficient, checking my details at every stage, could not have received better treatment anywhere else, would definitely recommend Spa Medica to anyone and everyone.

Between seeing my Optician and being offered a date for Cataract surgery was just 5 days, the pre-surgery assessments were thorough and fast and the procedure was very easy

Very professional at all times. Procedure carried out very well. All staff pleasant and courteous. No delays to appointment time and I was out in less time than expected.

Having been referred I had my pre op assessment nd give an appointment to have surgery the next day. All through the process everything was explained in detail by very professional staff. Excellent service and I highly recommend this company.

After having 2 cataract surgeries performed, I can only say that In Spa Medica Sheffield I experienced expediency and professionalism at every level, as well as, a very responsive and responsible after care treatment. I would highly recommend this ophthalmological clinic and I kindly thank everyone for everything they offered me.
