I was dreading my cataract removal but I needn’t have worried as the whole experience was professional from start to finish. Very friendly staff and a brilliant surgeon who was patient with my asking questions as to what was going on especially when I felt a weird sensation but no pain. All over in a short while and good results. I’m at ease now and looking forward to my second eye being done as it’s rather weird having only one eye being so clear . I’m hoping to have the same surgeon. I’m not enjoying all the eye drops but getting used to the regime and know it’s for the good and health of my eye. Thank you everyone.

Dururing August and September of 2024 I had the Cataracts removed from both eyes at SpaMedica in Southampton, on both occassions I received outstanding care, both during the assesments and the operations. The staff were friendly and professional and most of all caring. The surgeon who carried out both of my operations was kind and chatty, he kept me calm and informed during both of the operations. I cannot thank the team enough for the treatment I received nor for the vast improvement in my eyesight. Well done team SpaMedica !!.

I felt very fortunate to have received such good service. Everything was made easy, and my cataracts were done very promptly after the initial consultation. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you so much - the surgery has been transformative for me and life is lighter and brighter all round!

I had my cataract surgery on Saturday - I was so nervous but everyone at SpaMedica put my mind at rest. The surgeon ‘q’ was so kind, even asking me if I was ok during the procedure. I had my hand held throughout by ‘k’ a very kind nurse, who really helped to calm me. Goodness knows why I was so scared as it was such a quick and painless procedure. Thank you so much SpaMedica, you are all truly amazing.

Considered both private and NHS options. I was tested for both and the options were explained without any pressure. I choose NHS because that was the most appropriate option for me. Now have had my first eye done and SpaMedica were brilliant at every step of the way. Now looking forward to having my other eye done.

Process from eye test with optician to first cataract operation took only 3 weeks. Staff at eye hospital were very professional and every step was explained fully. Now 2 days after op and all seems to be going well. Would recommend anyone to use SpaMedical to treat their cataracts. Looking forward to the next op to remove the cataract from my other eye.

The referral procedure via the local optician, the swift response from SpaMedica was excellent. The assessment and ultimate operation was without worry due to the caring and knowledgeable nursing staff and surgeon for which I was eternally grateful. Thank you.

I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you to all the staff who looked after me, and particularly the Surgeon who made me feel relaxed. I will certainly be happy to attend again when I need my right eye cataract removed. Thank you also to the driver who picked me up from my home and returned me afterwards.

All the staff were friendly and informative. The surgeon put me so much at ease by talking me through the procedure. No pain, no pressure, no discomfort, fast recovery. He also reduced my astigmatism, giving me better sight than I ever had. A 14 minute procedure and it was like being reborn. With a quality free hot drinks and cool water machine plus a variety of free biscuits what’s not to like? More when I get my other eye done 😃 Can’t believe I’d been dreading the whole thing. I can fully recommend SpaMedica Southampton. Massive thanks to everyone 🙏

An excellent experience from start to finish. All the staff involved were friendly and made me feel at ease. I was particularly impressed with the availability of drinks and biscuits , especially when they were offered and brought to me while waiting for the operation. My eyesight is now so much better so a big thank you to the expert surgeon and to the whole team. I had a cataract operation on my other eye at the main hospital a couple of years ago and while this was fine and all went well, this dedicated unit was a lot less stressful and faster
