On both occasions I was treated with kindness and respect. I was kept well informed on what was happening and I am extremely pleased with the results. So far, no problems whatsoever with my eyes and the improvement is quite dramatic.

This was my second cataract procedure. I am so impressed by the professional staff in all the departments from admin to nursing staff. My care was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and explained everything in great detail to me. Thank you once again for the care given to me.

Although initially apprehensive, I actually found it to be a very well organised and straightforward treatment, from caring and skilful staff. My "new" sight is excellent for both long distance and reading.

On arriving on time I was not informed there was going to be a delay. This turned out to be over 2 hours. At no point was I informed by any of the staff of this situation. After being there half an hour after my appointment time I asked at reception and was told there was an hour delay but it was longer. In the preop. lounge non of the 4 of us waiting had any idea about what was happening and like me the others had people waiting to collect us. No member of staff came in to explain the situation or to apologise for the delay or to offer any refreshment. The 3 patients before me had morning appointments mine was 1.40pm and I didn’t get in to the preop. lounge until after 4pm. My actual surgery took place at 6pm. While I accept delays can happen and I am not concerned about that, my concern is the lack of communication with the patients. It suggests lack of concern and care for the patients. However busy the staff may have been for someone to pop in and say how things were would have made a lot of difference. The first op I had in January there was a different attitude. Staff were friendlier, in the lounge they came in to see how everyone was. A completely different experience and would have merited a good review. But, sorry, this last experience was a very bad one. Costumer/Patient Service was in very short supply. Possibly a reminder every morning.

Premises easily accessible and the welcome was friendly, with a hot drink offered on arrival. All rooms were immaculately clean. The procedure was quick, painless and efficient, the nursing staff and surgeon pleasant and informative.

I was so nervous getting there but from the minute I walked through the door I was taken care of. The surgery itself was amazing I was worried I would see everything going on but all I saw was a bright light. What an amazing team. I will be fine when I get my next one done. A great improvement already. Thank you so much.

How can you get better than superb.From the initial welcome to meeting the surgeon and the actual op. I was absolutely scared stiff and would assure anyone in the same position , don't be they talk you through everything. Thank you and now not wearing glasses except for reading with excellent distance vision. If offered, accept.

This was my second cataract surgery.All the staff were thoroughly professional and helpful. There was no long waiting but from reception to leaving was some 2 hours. Checking my details was done at least three times which I felt very reassuring . The actual surgery seemed somewhat quicker on this second surgery and wasn't quite so comfortable as the first one. However, I stress it wasn't painful or unpleasant just noticable that there were different surgeons on each occasion each with there own touch. The whole experience was, from start to finish, fine, despite the difference I mentioned previously, and I would have no trouble whatsoever recommending the service spamedica provided. This has been written One day post surgery and I am hopeful that the results will be as good as the first op last year.

Appointment time was 8.40 but had a 40 minute wait whilst Surgeon went through cases with staff. That the worst bit. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to a new member of staff who was on her first day and accompanied me on my "journey" and was very re-assuring as I had a intermittent cough and fetched me water to assist The surgery was surreal but the Surgeon spoke to me and was reassuring. So nice to have coffee and biscuits on tap as well as unexpected. Looking forward to my 2nd surgery which is to be much quicker than expected. Should comment on the wait time from referral to op which was excellent. A really good experience for a nervous patient.

Went in for first cataract. Staff friendly and reassuring. Atmosphere very relaxing. Service very efficient. Environment very nice. Coffee offered on arrival and when finished. Procedure better than I imagined and so quickly done. A very nice experience all round.
