Had my eye assessment on the 5/6/2023 my cataract operation on the 8/6 the quality of care was superb, excellent staff and very efficient well done and keep it up.

The I received was excellent and everyone was so efficient. I was informed every step of the way as to what was going to happen. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made me feel at ease. The surgeon was telling me what was happening all through the procedure.

The Care and process from start to finish was outstanding. The Pre Op to my Cataract Operation was excellent. The Staff were outstanding and allayed any fears you may have had. Answering any questions you may have. Which gave you the understanding and confidence to proceed to the next stage. The actual operation. A few days later my appointment came through and I returned. Once again the staff were welcoming explaining everything as I went through the different stages of preparation for my Cataract Surgery. The Consultant Surgeon introduced himself prior to entering the Theatre and explained the procedure again asking if I had any questions. I entered the theatre where the medical staff introduced themselves and settled me down on the operating bed. I felt just a slight feeling of touch on my eye, but no pain whatsoever. After around 10 minutes it was completed. You have one eye done at a time for obvious reasons. I was then taken to the discharge area where a nurse was waiting to provide and instruct me on how to administer the 2 sets of drops over the next 3 weeks. Whilst at the same time providing emergency contacts in case things were uncomfortable in the early stages of healing. With that I was guided back to reception where the lady on duty had already contacted my person to call and collect me. As I said at the beginning a 5* Service and Duty of Care given from all the team involved. So much so that as soon as was possible I booked in for my other eye to be done. For those referred to SpaMedica don’t hesitate you are in the hands of Professionals. Once done it is like night v day. The colours jump out at you, from flowers, to trees and clouds. My cataract operation was conducted by extremely helpful, courteous and professional staff at all levels. The outcome exceeded my expectations. Within 24 hours I had outstandingly clear vision with no adverse effects whatsoever. I cannot recommend Spamedica enough.

Team friendly and helpful. Perhaps the waiting room could be better with a tv showing nature programs or classic music, as people sit for over 1 hour waiting for the operation. Also confusing when surgeons give different medication for each eye operation. Leaves you confused.

All staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Everything was explained before, during and after the procedure. Nothing was too much trouble. I could not fault anything.

SpaMedica Wakefield. Absolutely first class. Very kind gentle Surgeon. All Nurses were so caring and put me at ease straightaway.Also lovely Reception Staff. I felt very confident and safe having my Cataract done with them. Many thanks to you all. My eye is feeling really good and the clear vision is amazing. Would recommend Spa Medica 100%.

Had both my eyes treated for cataracts, one in February and one in May, a wonderful experience and would recommend Spamedica and the Ossett medical centre to anyone, great staff, nurses and Doctors took great care of me and have now brilliant new eyes.
