This really is a very well run facility. From my referral to my operation the service was excellent. SpaMedica contacted me the next day and made an appointment for the following week. This was confirmed by letter and an information booklet. At the first appointment I was seen by four different members of staff each with different task. All were professional, polite and informative answering any problems or concerns. Reception staff were also excellent. My cataract surgery took place three weeks later. The process was extremely well run and the staff again excellent. I think they were a member of staff down but the teams worked together to ensure that the patient experience was of the highest quality. There was the time and opportunity to ask questions and care was taken to provide post-cataract information. I would like to thank all those involved. This is the NHS at its best.

Had first eye done at the end of August and the second done yesterday. On both occasions the service was exemplary efficient speedy and totally professional. Can't believe the difference.

Spa Médica Wakefield is easy to navigate to and they provide transport if you need it. You are welcomed at the door and directed to the relevant department. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and caring explaining every step of the process. Their care and attention to detail is excellent and I felt relaxed when I had the surgery because of the professional and detailed approach they took when I had my operation. Time spent in the operating theatre was only about 15 minutes and then the aftercare nurse went through the aftercare process of what to do and what not to do.

Everyone at SpaMedica were brilliant I had the op on my right eye and I cannot believe how well I can see out of it now. I cannot wait to have my other one done . I just want to say thank you to all for looking after me so well, you are the best .

I cannot fault the Spa Medica Team at Wakefield from the moment one enters the door it is professional, friendly, reassuring, clean, every member of staff performs their duty with diligence and care. I would recommend this practice without reserve to anyone needing the facility it offers. I received excellent treatment between August 2022 to March 2023 and on every occasion the staff were exemplary.

I have had cataract surgery on both eyes with int he last two months. naturally i was apprehensive but there was no need, the staff were very professional and helpful, the effects of the surgery has made a massive difference to my sight.

I can’t praise the care I received at SpaMedica enough. The whole experience was fast and efficient and the staff made an effort to put you at your ease. It was easy to get to and park and from being referred via my optician to having the surgery completed was 4 weeks. I feel very lucky to have been able to have treatment at SpaMedica. Thank you to all concerned! My sight is amazing!
