I had my cataract removed yesterday absolutely made up he makes you feel at ease he’s excellent at his job also the staff as well that was helping in surgery a big thank you to all the staff much appreciated

A calm, relaxed and worry free experience. My eye procedure was explained by the staff and also in the booklets given. My questions were answered and I considered that from start to finish this is a truly professional unit. I am so grateful to be able to see properly again. A big thank you to the whole team.

I had a cataract removed and lense inserted 2 day ago . Actual procedure took about 12 mins. A very good experience in nice surroundings with friendly efficient staff. I am now watching television without my glasses.

Went in for replacement eye lens cataract surgery. The staff and Surgeon were professional, gave clear instructions regarding what would take place and aftercare. So very pleased my surgery took place there. Waiting rooms were clean and tidy. A pleasant hospital all round.

I had my second eye treated for cataract at Spa Medica at St Caths, Birkenhead, Wirral. Just like the first time, the experience was so easy and trouble free. From reception to discharge, all interactions were polite, friendly and informative. The hospital was clean and tidy. My surgery happened at the exact time they told me. At every stage the procedures were explained to me in detail and were carried out exactly as described. There was no pain, just slight discomfort during the 10 mins it took. Post surgery, I was quickly seen by a nurse who explained the post surgery actions required by me and provided the eye drops and confirmatory instructions. I was promptly discharged. This is a shining example of our NHS working flawlessly.

From the front desk to leaving SpaMedica 100%first class service. What can one say otherwise, the nurses ,doctors, you are given a full explanation of what to expect,including the operation. My special thanks to the Filipino nurse who gave me the extra support at the end of the operation. Many thanks John Salter

I had cataract surgery on my left eye 20/01/25. Not knowing how the procedure would progress and what was involved, I was a little nervous. However, all the staff from reception, to the nurses and the doctor were kind and supportive. The actual surgical process was a strange feeling, but I felt no pain. I wish to thank the team for their care and professionalism. I was given clear instructions to follow post-op and I have started that regime today. I have a slight dull ache over my eye, but don't need any medication. Although the vision from my left eye is blurred, as expected, everything is brighter than the vision in my right eye, which is encouraging. I am hopeful of a positive outcome, my right eye will be done within three months, I will have no issues on my return to Spa Medica, who are an excellent provider.

No one should be at all concerned about undergoing the cataract procedure in the hands of this very able team. The surgeon and his colleagues are to be congratulated for making what is at first a daunting prospect simple fast and very effective. I am much looking forward to the operation on my other eye.

I have had two eye procedures carried out at SpaMedica in Birkenhead. The way that everything is handled is extremely professional. The service is fantastic. The care and attention and support from all of the staff is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Thank you to all of the staff who looked after me at SpaMedica.
