SpaMedica provided excellent care and service to me for my recent Cataract surgery. Throughout the whole process all the staff were very caring and helpful. I can highly recommend SpaMedica to anyone requiring Cataract surgery.

Apart from being called very early for appointments then having to sit around the ensuing treatment was very slick and the removal of cataracts was even ‘slicker’ all very professional. My eye next day was perfect.

The surgeon was very gentle & quick. Nursing & support staff were kind, caring & efficient. The whole process was smooth. The building was modern, airy & spacious. The waiting times from referral were short - 1 or 2 weeks. Both eyes were done in 8 weeks (and that's with a hip replacement in between the 2 procedures!) Communications & information (medical staff & booklets) were comprehensive and clear. I recommend SpaMedica. N

I had my pre-operative assessment one day and to my surprise, the surgery the next day. A great deal of thought has been given to the cataract surgery process at Wokingham and consequently the patient experience is excellent. The facilities are first class, the staff pleasant and customer focussed, and communication both prior to, and during, the two days was of a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend SpaMedica for cataract surgery.

Our local NHS hospital rejected me for cataract surgery about 8 months ago, so I was really pleased to be referred by my optometrist to SpaMedica, and amazed to get an appointment within a few days. The clinic in Wokingham is easily reached by bus from our home in East Reading, so it's convenient for us. The staff, from the moment we entered the building, were all efficient, kind, helpful and warm. The building was well designed, and the surroundings were pleasant, apart from some pop music in one waiting area, but this was quiet and not obtrusive. Having bad floaters, I didn't allow myself to be too hopeful about the outcome of my right eye cataract surgery. A week later, I'm still stunned by the fact that I can see, clearly, and in three dimensions, for the first time in years. I'm so grateful to everyone involved, and to the NHS for fast-tracking eye surgery by the use of these clinics. I'm 79 and could easily have spent the rest of my life with severely impaired vision. I can now do so many things that were impossible before the surgery. Thank you, thank you!

When I was sat in the waiting area I saw a couple of ladies come in with eye shields over their treated eye and they seemed calm so that was positive . After just over a hour I proceeded to be prepared for the op all the time told what the nurses where doing and why . I then went in to the theater the Doctor explained what I needed to do and again reassured she also talked to me and had music on to keep me calm ,also a nurse held my hand to keep me calm and relaxed . I then was told about the drops . and four days later I have had no side effects and on the 28th I had a reasonable nights sleep Thank you John

Surroundings lovely.Spotlessly clean. Efficient service from staff. Positive experience. Location well marked and easy to find. Nursing and Medical staff polite and competent. Pre and post operative care carried out to a very high standard.

After having first operation in March I was looking forward to having other eye done in June. Unfortunately on day I was left waiting for a very long time for which I received an apology as there was a misunderstanding between departments. The actual operation was very quick and I received brilliant attention. My eyes are brilliant now and would recommend hospital to everyone.
