I am writing to express my absolute gratitude to the a&e department, my daughter was acutely unwell and presented with suspected meningitis, as a parent I was incredibly scared. Upon our arrival at a&e the reception staff were friendly, warm and welcoming advising of potential delays ensuring we were fully informed prior to booking in. Within minutes we were in front of triage staff, being assessed and tests being ordered. I feel as though we were afforded every test under the sun, I found it to be timely and accessible. The staff are an incredible asset to the organisation, they were caring, compassionate, kind and professional. They communicated every step with us, and gave us the opportunity to ask questions, this is despite the obvious demand on the service. I don’t have the words to describe how reassured they made us and I hope they realise how appreciated they are for what they do. I also hope the trust appreciates their hard work and dedication to the professions they are aligned with. Thank you is such a small phrase, but I promise it is sent with sincerity and appreciation, thank you for everything a&e.

After suffering a medical emergency in Wales I needed to attend A&E for follow up. From arrival to departure I was treated with great care and excellent professionalism. I had multiple tests and investigations and given the all clear. Medical staff were extremely busy but still had time to explain everything to me. Thank you to all concerned.
