  1. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jordan - Posted on 22 June 2024

The receptionists at the GP extension were miserable and didn't seem bothered. The doctor I had waited 2 weeks to see (pre booked by my GP because it had no appointments available for me) refused to talk to me about more than one medical issue even though it was a booked appointment. Then when I asked him to atleast note that I'd brought up bad chest pains because I'm currently under cardiac at the Vic he said no I would have to book an appointment at my GP, however the whole reason I was there was because my GP couldn't see me. So I have to now go back to my GP because they didn't wanna discuss my health and wouldn't take my complaints seriously about my pains.

  4. Review titled Categorically wrong and unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

My daughter is 8 years old. On Saturday she woke up with difficulty I swallowing after a week of having cold flu symptoms. She had a bit of a rash in her body so I thought it was tonsillitis and best I take her to the walk in centre to get antibiotics. When we arrived the triage nurse saw the rash without examining her at all (!!) and immediately left the room. She brought the doctor and they both said that they feel it might be measles!! I was I In total shock! I told them I came here for antibiotics for her tonsils. How have they come to that conclusion without even checking her tonsils!! She didn’t have a rash on her face and she didn’t have the spots in her mouth!! The rash on her body looks more like a heat rash!! We were then told that she had to isolate for 4 days until the results from a swab would come back. We were move to a senior nurse who reassured me a said that he couldn’t believe that that doctor came to a verdict without examination. He examined my daughter and saw that her tonsils were red and she had an ear infection which was why she had developed the rash!! Also he asked whether my daughter has had the MMR which she had and is another indication that it’s highly unlikely that she would have measles!!! My daughter was absolutely fine after we came back from the centre and the rash disappeared the next day! With antibiotics her ear felt fine after a couple of doses. 3 days of worrying and waste of resources not to mention the fact that the ‘doctor’ was totally wrong!!

  5. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

On booking in short waiting time to be triaged then the ridiculous long wait time to see a Gp or advanced practitioner to be told to ring your Gp surgery next day who refer you to here in the first instant or sent to A&E after a minimum 4 hour long wait

  6. Review titled Super service!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by New to Blackpool - Posted on 08 April 2024

Recently had to visit the centre on 2 occasions. Staff are interested in patients, efficient and understanding, aiming to streamline the experience as quickly as possible but offering top care. An extra call out to X-ray 2, your service is excellent. Building is immaculate.

  7. Review titled First class service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan - Posted on 20 March 2024

My GP referred me to the x-ray department at Whitegate Health Centre. A few weeks later I was offered a cancellation appointment which I accepted. On arriving, I was seen quickly. I was having an ultrasound scan and the staff were friendly and discreet. I was given feedback immediately afterwards which was very reassuring. Reception staff were also very friendly too. A first class service. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Parking Issues

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 May 2024

Terrible experience with parking at this health center. No information on their website about this free car park regarding a company issuing parking charges, and any signs present are not clear. Only parked for five minutes and a person immediately appeared taking photographs of the car, did not identify himself, no identification, and told me I would receive a parking charge. Will not be going there again.

  10. Review titled Great Experience Once Again

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sophie - Posted on 18 November 2023

I went for a sexual health check up at the walk in clinic and the staff were so lovely throughout. They put me at ease instantly and I really felt listened to and they covered everything that I wanted and more. I felt like the staff really cared and wanted to make the experience the best it could be, even in a potentially embarrassing environment. So thanks again to the team.
