I am a nervous patient and the dentist always puts me at my ease and is kind. She checks what treatment she did last time I saw her and explains clearly what she is going to do. This time she did a filling on the outside surface of one of my front teeth and it looks great - you can't see I have a filling.

Having chewed a sweet, my inlay got stuck in the sweet and needed to be re-cemented. Got seen within 2 working days and the inlay was expertly re-fitted.

I was apprehensive before my visit to Damira Bury Knowle Dental Practice at Oxford. When I arrived, the Dentist immediately put me at ease and was so kind and caring. He explained in detail what needed to be done and made the experience painless and positive. I'm so grateful for that and for the fact that he sorted my problem so easily.

I visited recently the hygienist was experienced, knowledgable and helpful and the dentist identified a possible problem and discussed ways of dealing with it.

Very friendly from the reception staff to the actual Dentist. The dentist was very caring & very helpful. Seen on time. Was told I need a root canal which has been booked for three weeks time.

This was my first visit here. I was told the dentist was running 20 minutes late, however I had to wait an hour after my appointment time to see someone. When I was in with the dentist, I explained I have anxiety and was anxious about this visit. During my visit, the dentist said something to me which caused me to have a panic attack. When the dental nurse asked me if I was okay, I explained that what the dentist said has made me anxious. The dentist then said that she purposely scares her patients, so they listen to her. Whilst I understand that listening to the dentist, and doing what they say is important, i found it to be very upsetting that she would purposely make me think the worst, especially after I’d already told her I have anxiety. The dentist said I needed a night guard, and when she was showing me them she said “your lucky you get this on the NHS and don’t have to pay the £240 for it”. Whilst what she said is true, her tone whilst she was saying this was very condescending. I have an appointment in 2 weeks to collect my nightguard, and will see how that goes, but I’m considering going somewhere else in the future now.

Unfortunately, appointments may sometimes run behind. This is due to the nature of dentistry. There are times where there may be dental emergencies that have to take priority, or appointments that overrun. Furthermore, all staff are made aware of the high-level customer service that Damira aims to deliver, and this will be raised during the next staff training to ensure this does not happen again. 2 fillings done in my 45 minute appointment, no waiting around straight in on arrival. All staff very professional from the receptionist to the dental nurse and of course the dentist. I have always received first class treatment. Very happy. Thank you.
