Review titled Really good practice. Recommended.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Really nice dental hygienist. Really thorough treatment and lots of advice given. The online booking system wasn't working but got through no problem on the phone. Receptionist was really nice and they had appointment options.

Review titled Dreadful communication
Rated 1 star out of 5

Since the regular dentist left getting an NHS appointment has been dreadful. Generally cancelled last minute and then getting a letter telling me my son was overdue an appointment and how important it was he gets his teeth checked! After finally getting an appointment 6 months ago, our next check up today has been cancelled with a call 45 minutes beforehand advising the dentist doesn't work there anymore! Keep my fingers crossed our rescheduled appointments go ahead next week, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Review titled No dentists for NHS work
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been a NHS patient here for some years but now it seems that they cannot get and keep NHS dentists so there is no consistency or even certainty of getting an appointment or even knowing who it is going to be with.

Review titled Awful practice

You wait months for an appointment only to be told at the last minute that they have lost their NHS dentist so you now need to pay privately to proceed. Even when they had regular NHS dentists (back in 2020) they were forever cancelling appointments at the last minute and were then unable to fit you in for another 6 months. Avoid this practice at all costs.

Review titled Unexpected procedure
Rated 1 star out of 5

Got a 5 minute appointment. The only NHS dentist there proceeded to remove all bottom front teeth, leaving me with no teeth, and a follow up appointment in July? Instead of being 5 minutes I was there for nearly an hour, I realise now that this should not have happened ! I now find out he has left. Any advice would be appreciated as it is very distressing

Review titled Not good

When I moved to the area 6 years ago we registered to be on the NHS with the practice. Subsequently called to make an appointment but was told we hadn't been registered on the NHS and would have to go to the back of the queue. This was because whoever worked there at the time didn't register us. Subsequent to this I went there privately and it was clear the dentist want to work on my teeth and palmed me off to other practices who all wanted to give me a check up even thought I'd already had one. My experience today though was fairly typical of the above. I was sent an e-mail saying that a new dentist was going to registered with the NHS but did not have registration and once they were then all the private patients (on a reduced tariff) would be ported across to the NHS. This was not the case and only became apparent once I was in the dentist's chair. It seems there was an issue with the e-mail sent out and the offer should not have been made.
