I filled in an on line form for an appointment and was called back within 2 minutes with an appointment that afternoon. When I attended surgery for the appointment I was called exactly on time and was dealt with speedily. This is a marked improvement on my previous experiences with this surgery.

Being a Doctor’s Receptionist is a difficult job I should, but todays receptionist was so kind, polite and efficient. She spoke to all the patients with such dignity and in such a caring manner, that I had to compliment her on her skills and manner. It was so heart warming to see and thought it needed acknowledging. Thank you!

I attended re blood pressure issues. The nurse that I saw was professional in every way; they listened, they answered my questions, they were patient, and had abundant humanity. An extremely positive experience.

I don't recognise the glowing reviews about efficiency on here (are they only publishing the good ones?!). The clinical staff are very sympathetic and helpful but the admin is a nightmare. I recently chased up a referral made 6 months ago, it took 2 weeks of back and forth via text message/logging in to the secure messaging service to get any answer, during which I was asked "which doctor saw you?", "when was it exactly?", etc. Surely the practice should be able to find all these details on my records (I think they eventually did but this was a really frustrating delay). The online consultation closing down every lunchtime due to the practice being at capacity is really unhelpful - if you don't fill it in in the morning you have to wait another day just to get on the list. I understand the practice is over-stretched but it means is the onus is totally on patients to follow things up (test results too). For me it's a lot of hassle and inconvenience. I can't imagine what it's like for people who are not confident digitally, or who have less flexibility with their time/work than I do.

I have had several positive experiences of care from Addison Road Medical Practice in recent months. I have been able to get appointments quickly, for both myself and my son. I have seen three excellent GPs, who listened and made eye contact and generally made us felt cared-for (this has not always been my experience with GPs). The staff on reception and who answer the phone are kind and polite and patient. I know what pressure everyone in the NHS is under at the moment so I just wanted to say how impressed I have been.

I was put very at ease during my cervical screening, which wasn’t in the slightest bit painful. The nurse was very knowledgable, made me feel extremely comfortable and it was completed in less than a minute. The admin team at the practise should improve their communication as my requests weren’t passed onto the nurse as promised.

I went in for a cervical smear test. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and I did not have to wait to be seen. The nurse was very professional and reassuring and explained the procedure to me thoroughly and put me at ease. Overall I was impressed

Absolutely useless. It’s no good phoning for an appointment so I went in this morning but reception can’t make appointments, they took details and sent me home, then sent a link to send photos- the link didn’t work. Then they phoned to say someone would phone re photo. But no one called, so I went back to the surgery, they said a clinician would phone by 6.30 to discuss. It’s now 20.45 and no one has phoned. I took the day off work to sort out my problem, I’m working the next 4 days and cannot take calls at work, so what happens now? A & E? Actually, I managed to get a private appointment - which took 10 mins to sort out the problem; and I'd spent all day trying to be seen at Addison Rd, but not everyone could do this. Update - that was yesterday, then they phoned me today to offer me an appointment outside the practice . . . Then finished with 'if there's anything we can do, we're here for you', which as I pointed out rang a bit hollow as they certainly weren't there for me yesterday. Avoid this surgery , utterly hopeless.
