Good practice. Helpful reception team and some really good doctors and nurses. Sometimes difficult to get an appointment but other than that I have no concerns.

I have no problems receiving a repeat prescription from my GP Practice. As soon as I send an email for a new prescription, it is actioned. However, it is almost impossible to secure an appointment. After more than 3 years being registered at Ambrose Ave, I still haven't been able to get an appointment to see my GP. I have now given up trying! I've managed to see a nurse a couple of times at Tollgate, but nothing more. I work full time, I begin work at 8am therefore cannot wait outside the surgery at 7.30am each morning to maybe get an appointment.

In addition to our online options, we provide same-day appointments, available both in-person and over the phone for your convenience. You can also easily schedule appointments in advance using the NHS App. Please appreciate that, as a busy practice dedicated to providing quality care, we prioritise every patient’s needs. Rest assured, in the event of an emergency, we will always ensure that you receive the attention and care you deserve. My experience r With the Tollgate Oractice is largely a good one! Sometimes it’s hard to get through on the phone but for repeat prescriptions like this morning it’s excellent! Thank you for the service Martyn

I am so impressed, not only was I given an appointment within a few hours of calling, my young daughter was seen by a very friendly male doctor at Tollgate who was brilliant with her, putting her at ease. The following day my other daughter came down with the same illness and we were seen within 30 minutes of calling the surgery at 4.30pm. We saw a female nurse, who again was brilliant, making my children feel comfortable during the check up. They came out with stickers and a certificate for being brave as well as medicine. I was so happy with the service and feel it was so easy to get an appointment. The staff, including at reception were all extremely friendly and helpful . Thank you to all of you.

I saw the doctor that I usually try to see recently and as always the care she gave me was extremely thorough, kind and helpful. She addressed everything that I asked about and prescribed and recommended the treatments I required.
