  1. Review titled No appointment available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I required a face-face review as per my e-consult, but the surgery could not offer an appointment as over capacity. Requested I speak to 111 (who cannot provide a face-face) and who suggested I wait for my GP. I will need to take my chances with OTC medication or self present to ED when this is a misuse of the service. It is these very incidences that are ruining our NHS.

  2. Review titled Not so great receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

Wait 40 minutes in a 9 person phone queue. Get through to a not so helpful receptionist that cared more about me being at a new address than getting me to be seen by a doctor. The call should go, “Can I see a doctor please?” “Yes, of course. Xxx time today” “Thanks see you then” Instead it is always, no appointments today. What are we paying for these days?

  3. Review titled Caring doctors and improved appointment availability

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I’ve had to book several appointments recently for family members with acute conditions, and the experience has been noticeably improved. Previously, we were often directed to the UTC due to a lack of appointments, but this month we were able to secure same-day slots through Klinik. The doctors and nurses continue to be incredibly professional and compassionate, taking the time to explain conditions and treatments thoroughly. Special thanks for being so wonderful with my toddlers—amazingly, they look forward to GP visits!

I have a repeat prescription, every week for over two years, I know your busy but missing my prescription can only but set back my long term recovery.

  5. Review titled Phone appointments

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have recently had my diabetic bloods done and had a telephone appointment booked to discuss my results. The appointment was set for between 3.20 and 5.20pm. On my NHS App there was a specific time of 4.20 which I was working around. The first call was made at 14.50 (outside the time slot) and the second at 15.22 which I just missed. I called the surgery back but was told that I would have to rebook even though when I called it was before the scheduled time on the NHS App (4.20) as the diabetic team set their own lists. Is it a 2 attempts and you’re out system that is being operated? One call was half hour before the time slot actually began. Is there no flexibility in this system for working people at all who cannot sit by their phones during normal working hours?

Waited 15 mins- I’ve never been and waited lesss than 15 mins. Usually running around 20/30 mins late. Spoke with Dr was who running through some questions to tick off. Kept being interrupted and finally was told she wouldn’t be able to advise me, it’s my body.

  7. Review titled Frustrating!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Needed a fit note so searched the Ashford Medical Partnership website. This told me to fill in the sick/fit note request form. Couldn't find any request form to fill in (even when using the search option). Took 25 minutes to have my call answered for the receptionist to tell me to fill in the form online. After her explaining where to find the form I filled it in. after filling in all the information required I receive a note to say the form is temporarily unavailable until tomorrow morning - so did my request even get through or will I have to repeat it again tomorrow? Total waste of everyone's time due to the inefficient and poorly set up website!

  8. Review titled Rude Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

My husband had just been discharged after a stroke and until two days ago was registered with this joke of a surgery. He did not even get a courteous "good morning" as you would expect from the face of the surgery. I think we inconvenienced her tea break!! Found her very abrupt and rude from the off. Went to see another surgery to register and what a breath of fresh air. Do not use Ashford Medical Partnership, terrible service. Could do with some training in treating patients with courtesy and respect.

  9. Review titled Klinik system is frustrating

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 September 2024

I wouldn't recommend Ashford Medical Partnership as a whole, as the process of seeing a gp is much too difficult these days and the patient care isn't very thoughtful or consistent. I think it's wrong that they force you to do everything on Klinik and there is no other option. It is very frustrating when you have ongoing health issues, as you basically have to start from scratch every time you get in touch. You have to spend a great amount of time filling out all the details, symptoms and history, when this should all be on your medical record anyway. You used to be able to get a same day appointment to see a gp if you phoned early enough, but since Klinik, they seem to dismiss people a lot easier and you can end up with appointment 2-3 weeks in the future with someone who is not a qualified doctor. Gps are meant to be the first point of contact, but the A M P has made them very inaccessible. There also seems to be an attitude of treating one problem per appointment, but they don't consider the body or health as a whole. The doctors just don't seem to care about finding out the cause of things, just want you to go away as quickly as possible.

  10. Review titled Unfair and Absolute Joke

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 12 September 2024

Horrible practice, I have a lump under my arm by my breast, was told I was havigg by a telephone appointment, but I knew I needed to be seen face to face. Doctor calls me and tells me I need same day treatment and to be seen in person, which I already knew, but was told there were no available appointments today! I told them I’m moving house tomorrow and they offered me an appointment on Monday (after I’ve moved house) then re offered me one for tomorrow even though I said I’m moving house hence why I need to be seen today! Off to waste my time up A&E because this practice is useless! Am glad to be moving away as never known it to be such hard work to be seen face to face!
